Expansion is bad, and new teams deserve to fail gloriously. I want some hubris from the idiots who think a league that can’t even field 30 viable teams to begin with should just keep going.

Look at all the teams without a legit 1C, for example. Dead on arrival. This is the NFL’s issue with quarterbacks. Most teams are non-contenders before the season starts because there aren’t enough key players to go around. You get a Dilfer situation here and there like you had with St Louis a few years ago, but it’s not a winning model.

I think I’m actually “anti NHL” at this point. I think the league is poorly run, the owners don’t know what they’re doing, GM’s have equally no clue, there are these retread coaches that just get passed around, the good Canadian boy network is just supremely incompetent in the front office positions, the new generation of player is either a non-competitive waif or a Tkatchuk-like imbecile, the playoff divisional format is awful, the playoffs are tanked by poor officiating strategy, Tampa is not a fun phenomenon…it’s just a rudderless collection of people that should have gone to college (or hire people who went to college).

I don’t understand the issue with tanking. It doesn’t really impact us. Bad teams get worse on purpose…ok. Who cares.
