Well, OEL had like a major surgery or something and was never the same after it...

OEL was someone who actually stood out.
Werenski is what…like a worse Suter? Eats minutes and gives you decent but not great offense?

No, he doesn't play like Suter...
Coming into last season, Werenski (playing his 19 thru 22 year old seasons) was third in defenseman goals (Burns, D.Hamilton), 18th in points...he's a dynamic, offensive defenseman...last year, he looked pretty casual, but hopefully for CBJ that was just circumstantial...he's the man now (dog), and he has it in him to be a really high end d-man in this league, and he has been...

Yinz know ya boy meow loves players getting paid, but if I were a gm, I’m not sure I give Werenski half that aav.
Oh yeah. He’s dynamic. He scores goals at will from the backend. But. Hatchi matchi. He couldn’t defend himself out of a wet paper bag.

He doesn't have a killer instinct, no...I'd say he's closer to Erik Karlsson lite than Ryan Suter lite...

Me, the layman, has never at any point noticed Werenski doing anything exceptional with my dumb dumb eyeball test.

Karlsson lite is a good compare. Less of a skater, more of a shot, controls play from the back end
Full Karlsson never got that AAV.

Werenski is definitely dynamic and explosive and can do things that few others can do. But nearly $10 million a year? He better be the best player on every square inch of the ice for every second he is on the ice. And that’s not the case for him. He can do some crazy stuff, but it’s bonkers to pay him that

I'd have said 7-7.5M value. So if it takes another 1.5 to get him to stay there fine but... is that the guy to do that on? Is Zach werenski putting asses in the seats?

There's a lot of #8 jerseys in the stands, yes. And all of the other players that they have jerseys of are gone...except Voracek, who returned after playing the 10th most games in Flyers history hahaI'd have said 7-7.5M value. Wonder if, in 100 years, we’ll look back at teams like CBJ, PHX, and FLA and laugh at the cute notion that pro sports shouldn’t be limited to about 20 or so cities in North America.

Wingus, dingus, listen up...you're talking about, like, Mike Matheson money, Rasmus Ristolainen money, Samuel Girard money...I get that you might not like him, and that's fine, but Zach Werenski isn't those guys...You’re still $3.5 off from fair market value from GMmeowIf I said there was $1.5 mil per year Ohio tax for star and semistar players...?

This player should not earn north of $7.5. I know you have to a few more sheckles to players because your team is in America’s armpitWingus, dingus, listen up...you're talking about, like, Mike Matheson money, Rasmus Ristolainen money, Samuel Girard money...I get that you might not like him, and that's fine, but Zach Werenski isn't those guys...You’re still $3.5 off from fair market value from GMmeowIf I said there was $1.5 mil per year Ohio tax for star and semistar players...?

Having been to both multiple times...I'd take Buffalo every day over anywhere in Ohio...Ohio is aids...

When I was living in Atlanta I worked with a Georgia Tech engineering grad who went to work in Buffalo for his first job and returned to GA after two years (he was from Miami) and he described Buffalo as being the "armpit of America". That's the first time I've seen that expression since. I've never been to either but Buffalo sounds more interesting.Having been to both multiple times...I'd take Buffalo every day over anywhere in Ohio...Ohio is aids...

So Buffalo's doctors screwed the pooch on the surgery part.
