Good stuff @Shyster . I've often said that maintaining after you lose is harder than losing the weight in the first place in some ways. It's a different mindset.

For me this was the first week I actually got back into a regular cadence of going to the gym. Up at 5 am like I used to pre-pandemic and drive to the gym. Run a few miles, lift a big, do 15-20 minutes on the bike. Did that M/W/F this week, and will go at least one day this weekend. The other days I still got up early and rode the bike at home. It feels good to get back into a routine of going to the gym again even if I'm a bit out of shape, and not near where I was strength wise compared to a year or so ago.

Finished an 18 mile hike today on the Rachel Carson trail. Other than a couple blisters on the bottom of my feet, had a great time. Perfect weather, great support.

Yep, we did the half challenge. Finished in 8 hours. Best time was 6 hours for the full 36 miles

Made an appointment to get a consult to get "snipped" as I am 38 now.. and know there are no kids are in my future. Wife has an IUD which has started to give her some discomfort and she wants to get off hormones in general at this point... so it's easier for me to just get snipped and be done with it.

Still a bit nervous, but hopefully the consult calms my nerves a bit.

My wife is fine with her IUD, but it's due to be replaced here in a couple years. And in a couple years, I'll be 37-38, so it'll likely be my time then as well. Not really looking forward to it, but we're done with kids, and the snip makes the most sense.

I'll let you know how much it sucks once I get it done haha.

I've honestly heard it's not that bad... but who knows. It was a bit weird when I made the consultation with the urologist that it's a woman. 8-)

I had to go to a urologist a couple years ago. Appointment scheduled with the furry old man ended up being taken by the smoke show blonde PA. To this day I wish it was warmer in that exam room.

As far as getting snipped, I only know two people who had issues. Former co-worker continued his marathon training the day after the procedure, which caused extreme inflation. Spent a couple weeks looking like he was smuggling a softball in his pants before the doctor decided they needed to manually extract fluid to relieve the pressure.

Procedure for one of our neighbors went awry and ended up losing a nut, but won a six figure malpractice settlement. Not the worst trade.

So what? If it were warmer, you think you'd have a shot with her?

Exactly. It’s all about first impressions. No one wants to be remembered unfavorably.

I had the snip done last year. It was no picnic but worth the hassle. Urologist was around my age and wanted to BS the whole time. Pretty sure my butt was clenched and my hands were frozen shut the entire time even though there was no pain.

You were there for a medical procedure. She sees how many patients a year? Not only do you need to not worry about making a bad first impression over your dick size, you don’t need to worry about making an impression at all. She won’t remember you either way.

I didn't smell any of the cauterization.

No experience with kidney stone surgery, but it felt like the doctor was searching through a messy wire harness trying to find the red wire to snip. Kept feeling a tug (hehe, Tugnutt) and thought, Finally, he found it. Only to have him search through the spaghetti bowl again.

This has been a fun discussion.

My consult isn't until July 2nd.. then after that I can actually schedule to get it done I guess.

I forgot I had to do the consult first. It was all early on during the pandemic so everything was weird. Pretty sure he'll just grab your balls and say you're a good candidate.
