Suppose this could go in the gear grinding thread, but a coworker e-mailed out a roster for a new team that's getting put together to tackle a problem. Spelled my first and last name incorrectly. And, I get it. My first name could have a different spelling. My last name is German, but jfc. Our e-mail addresses are literally firstname.lastname@company. com. My name is right there on the screen. Take the 3 seconds to look at it and spell it correctly.

Just found out that on Friday, when I'm turning my laptop in, they're telling the 3 teams that I managed, that they're being broken up and reporting to different people. Two of them have been pestering me about my thoughts. Had to tell them that it didn't matter what I thought, I wouldn't be around to provide input, and have even been asked about input this time.

Sounds like it's gonna get shittier for them, lol.

@ tagging is super valuable to me in email, but I'm not sure what the purpose is in a messaging app. I don't know how it integrates w email, maybe it has something to do with that

Gotta love a situation where they say that people involved in the decision making process will be out of the office over the next 2 weeks so it will delay any decisions made about the next round of interviews. But hey, at least I got an update about it. The stress continues...

That happened to me. A week after my virtual panel interview I followed up and learned the hiring manager was gone for 2 weeks overseas. Woohoo.

My boss sent out a blunt email to everyone in our building about the condition of our staff toilet, which is disgusting (despite a custodian cleaning it 2X a day, as we are open 20 hours).

Meanwhile, a bunch of us are trying to suss out who the repeat fouler is.

Like how does one do diarrhea under the seat and down the front of the toilet without knowing it and giving the commode a courtesy wipe? Absolutely repulsive.

We had someone that was repeatedly not flushing in ours. Eventually someone sent out an "I DON'T KNOW WHO'S DOING IT, BUT IT NEEDS TO STOP!" E-mail.

They closed with "Just remember fellas, a royal flush beats a full house."

Someone had to put up a "Even if you're in a rush, please remember to flush" sign because some mad man was pissing and leaving it sit in the urinal overnight. The smell was horrendous.

Still, feels like every time I go to piss someone left theirs unflushed.

This reminds me of the time someone put up a sign in the shared bathroom that said "Cleaning the seat isn't much fun. Open your eyes when going number one".
