Job and General Employment Thread

All of our urinals and toilets are auto flushers, so that was never an issue, thankfully.
These don't always work and never seem to get fixed, lol. One of the commodes in my building's restroom is an auto and you have to push the manual button every damn time. Bowl is always full of piss.
They spent a lot of money renovating our bathrooms the year before Covid, and these actually worked quite well.

That said, I prefer the porcelain throne in my master bathroom. :D
Six years of being a road tech has made me indifferent to where I rest my ass.
Yeah, but those days are over, no? Time to 'settle down' and find your preferred throne...
Far right throne WRT work options. But I still have no qualms about where I drop a deuce. Nearest restroom is fine, unless someone **** on the outside of the torlet or unswallowed.

I will not pick a stall that is surrounded by stalls on both sides. Ever.

Statistically, most people prefer the middle stall. That was a surprise to me. If that stall is taken, men seem to take the stall closest to the door while women prefer the stall farthest from the door.

People have apparently studied this.

I have a co-worker who refuses to crap anywhere but his own house or a hotel room. No restaurants, no work, no airports, nowhere. It's bizarre to me, but whatever.

I’ve never got a good reason why people are so hesitant to poop in a public restroom.

I mean, I'm not heading to the crapper at a college bar downtown, but if I'm at a restaurant or traveling and at sheetz or at work, I'm doing it.

When you show up for processing at RTC Great Lakes you quickly learn that bathrooms have toilets with no dividers between them. Shitting takes on a whole new level at that point.

if i have any say in it, i poop in the bathroom next to where i sleep. period.

i don't know why it's bizarre. public bathrooms have bad toilet paper, they smell terrible, there's sh*t everywhere, people rustle the doorknob to the stall, there's often these weird gaps where you can make eye contact with the guy washing his hands and there's a physicality to pooping where a familiar seat just helps the process along for some people. And also...i don't want to spend more than 1 minute in a public bathroom, so i poop at home.

i don't know how 5-10 minutes of aggressive sh*t smell wouldn't bother everyone. but ymmv, i guess.

but no one's putting a cork up their butt until they get home. BM's are easy to develop a predictable rhythm with unless you have a poor diet or medical condition. if nature calls for whatever reason, i'll answer. but in 18 years of working in an office, that's only had to happen < 5 times.

5-10 minutes!? When you're shitting in a public restroom, you get in and out. You don't sit there and play candy crush for 10 minutes.

Previous job there was 1 crapper and 1 urinal for 100+ men on the second floor. My cubicle was right next to the bathroom, and there was a constant stream of people going in. You'd have to really need to go #2 if you were going to take up the stall and deny people of a 2nd urinal. And when you came out, the looks you got from the people in line waiting to go. If I had to do the deed, I'd go to the manufacturing area where there were 3 stalls.

Today I have a choice of 10 toilets. Pretty much 1 per employee at this point. I deuce it up whenever

Best bathroom for number 2 at work was found in Iraq, for me. Our command center was in a building we took over and it had a big bathroom with stalls that were basically their own rooms. They were as wide as a regular stall, but there were stone walls covered in tile, floor to ceiling, about 6" thick on both sides. The distance from the door to the toilet was about 8 feet. Nice window in the wall above and behind you to let natural light in. If I recall there were three of these stalls. Fantastic.

At home it's usually a quick poo.

At work, the silence is golden and the process may take a few minutes longer to complete.
