Yea we had to do that this year too. Mostly a sham to figure out who to cut next if needed.

I think this was brought up in here before, but I hate when you have a teams meeting at say 9am, and someone calls in at like 8:53am. Now I have to sit there and watch the time since it won't pop up when the first person calls in, and I'm not calling in that early to just sit there on mute.

It's always the exact people you would expect it to be, too

Our team is generally comprised of pretty good people. One of them joins early. As a joke one or two others have tried to beat her to the meeting, so now they join as early as 15 minutes prior. It makes me wish I could fire them.

My direct boss had brain surgery about 2 weeks ago, so I'm the temporary boss. I told everyone to not come back after lunch.

Back from PTO today. Taking Monday off is such a key day for PTO after Thanksgiving.
So begins my reduced motivation and doing all I can to start pushing major projects to 24. This is the worst month, honestly and all I'm looking forward to is a long break, just like everyone else.

My boss told me I might have to "help" with some of my old role because they are having some major concerns with a team member who absorbed some of my responsibilities. I knew this new role was too good to be true.

And I hated it when we’d have a Teams meeting at 1pm and it wouldn’t actually start until 1:05-1:10 because people couldn’t be bothered to be on time. So yes, I’m that person that will call in at 10-15 mins before gametime.I think this was brought up in here before, but I hate when you have a teams meeting at say 9am, and someone calls in at like 8:53am. I can see who is on a Webex call before joining, and will use that information to determine when I join myself.

I do this as well. If it's someone I don't care to talk to I will wait until someone else joins.I can see who is on a Webex call before joining, and will use that information to determine when I join myself.

I don't want to small talk ever, so I join early, mute myself, and carry on until it begins.

On our weekly change board call, and one of the Ops guys is asking that Engineering participate in checkout during their upcoming change over the weekend. I couldn't unmute myself fast enough to tell them no before my boss jumped on and told them no.
