Rough day for Pompey.
Salt on the wound... the player that scored the goal for Accrington Stanley did a James Ward Prowse (Southampton's captain) style celebration, and posted this on his Instagram feed:

@willeyeam looks like we have remembered we’re West Ham. The good run by Lingard and Soucek before that feels like ages ago.

Score in the next 20 minutes or the door all but closes on Europe.

TIL

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triangu ... h_football
The use of triangular corner flags in English football is a regular occurrence based upon traditional achievements. Tradition holds that only clubs that have won the FA Cup have the right to use triangular corner flags rather than the regular square ones. However this tradition has no basis in The Football Association's (FA) regulations and clubs are free to decide what shape of flags they use.

A frickin team from Huntington, West Virginia won the daggone national title in Men's Soccer.

Holy cow.

Grew up going to Soccer camps at Marshall. Most of my family went to school there. Somewhere Bobby Gray is smiling.

Just unbelievable.

A little dry in here tonight.

Best part to is that it wasn't cheap.

They beat Clemson, Georgetown, North Carolina, and Indiana to win the title and dominated the run of play last night. If Indiana's GK wasn't having his best life now they'd have won 3 or 4 to nothing.
