The apartment doesn't have access to cable? Seems impossible.

I’ll see the place on Sunday but it’s an inexpensive Jersey shore apartment. Very old school.

Picked up a Sonos Roam. I live the Move, but it's not great for taking on the road, it's quite the beast. The Roam is much smaller than what I thought I was getting, but it's perfect for tossing in my bag or pocket for hikes, bikes, etc. Very impressed so far

Finally cutting the cable cord this week. It's going to save me at least $1,000 a year. The only thing I'll miss is live sports but even that's only Penguin games that I'm concerned about. How do locals watch live Pens games without cable?

Sportsurge.net is fairly reliable.

Get you a buddy or family member who still has a cable subscription with ATTSN. Use their account info on the ATTSN app. They finally allowed Pens/Pirates streaming last year and it worked great.

Any suggestions for a good router for streaming? If I can save a few bucks a month not renting one that would be nice.

Was at Costco recently and did an in-store demo of a Sonos Arc.

Holy jeebus, I can't believe they can fake 3D surround sound so well. It was bonkers good, even in that environment.

I recently picked up the Sonos roam after getting the move. im all in on Sonos products, they are incredible. I have a dedicated home theater with speakers everywhere and I don't think the wife would be happy spending that much for a speaker in the bedroom, but it's a damn nice piece of equipment

@dodint: Will you be dishing out the extra $20/month for YTTV's new 4K Plus?

Haven"t seen anything about it. Is it more content? If not, no, probably not.

Here's what it includes (not much, IMO): https://support.google.com/youtubetv/an ... k_networks

Certainly not worth $20/mo to me.
