Part of me agrees with you. But there's also a part of me that finds the live-action animatronic effects lends a.......... tactility? that modern effects might scrape away. Get Neal Scanlan or Richard Taylor on the job and maybe we have a thing.

Jurassic Park is my golden standard in this area, where he used both digital and animatronics. I would love to see what they could do going down that same path.

Agreed. Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movies but I har no clue about it’s production backstory. The stop motion test footage was impressive given the medium but there’s zero chance the movie has the same impact or staying power without the approach that was taken. if living actors are composited into the stop motion test footage it would look like the same disjointed mess that stop motion always looked like in live action movies.

One of my favorite shows growing up that I haven't watched in a while. Just saw it on Disney plus so figured I'd go for it. Still as great as ever.

I've been watching it to fall asleep to since it's not good enough to keep me up. And since i can't get Netflix to shut off on its own. And the first few seasons were surprisingly good. These last 5 though yikes it's bad

Yeah, IMO, season 1-4 are good (season 4 starts to slowly go down). And then season 5-7 are just bad.

I thought the same thing. Never watched it until 4 years ago and greatly enjoyed it.

Well I think the problem is, is that I was under 10 when it was on, so it didn't resonate with me at all.

I had a good buddy who was obsessed with Seinfeld when we were in high school. I never really got into it. Maybe I'll give it a go when it hits netflix.

Seinfeld was hitting its twilight when I was in college. Way too many phrases made their way into our daily vernacular. For that reason alone, Seinfeld will always be special to me.

The only thing disappointing about Seinfeld, for me, was the finale. I saw it only the night it aired, and no interest to watch it ever again. I'm not sure it's aired again in syndication because of the odd run time.

Yeah, Seinfeld is a Top 3 of all time for me. And I enjoy watching it now in a meta sort of way; the underlying conflict of the week can nearly always be solved with a cell phone and it's fun to 'spot' that each time.

When I went to Afghanistan in 2013 I watched it again from start to finish. I'm probably not ready for another rewatch quite yet but I'm happy to know it's there.

That happened to me with MASH. I got right around to the Winchester years and then it left Netflix and is, I believe, in Hulu purgatory on account of it being a Fox property.

I love them all. There's something about the later seasons that I really like. Season 9 has some amazing episodes. I like when it gets silly.

At the time I was convinced it was a long con. They had a one year sentence. Def thought it was coming back in a year.
