My daughter and I started watching Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous on Netflix a few weeks ago, and really enjoy it. It's definitely not your average kids animated show.
My kids love this show. I keep asking my wife if I could show them the movie but she keeps shooting me down. I need lessons from eddy
I've caught a few episodes of this and it seems pretty intense, I'm a big fan.

I surprised the kids with a viewing of Commando yesterday. It went over very well. My favorite part was when my daughter looks over and says, are you sure mom is ok with us watching this?

How old are they? I don’t think we’ve watched Jurassic Park as a family yet, but since mine is 8, I think she’s ready.
They’re 5 and 7. We watched the entire Harry Potter collection early this year. The 5 year old had no issue while the 7 year old ran out of the room when the scary parts happened.

I usually watch Jurassic Park 2-3 times a year, so they've always been around it. It was my daughter's favorite movie when she was around 3 or 4. That was a great time. I'm now happy that my youngest favorite is RAD. Doing things right.

When the time is right, we’re watching it in the basement with the 100” projector and surround sound.

That’s the way to do it. I want to do it for family movie night soon, with the subwoofer turned up to 11.

...like a female Stringer Bell"

Jamie Hector "I don't like the sound of that..."

Looks good. Very good.

Can't wait to learn more about the spinoff show.

I enjoyed Parts Unknown, but I've not watched an episode in a few years. One of those things that I'll watch, but I don't seek it out.

I’m not sure what he represents to people. Is it endearing/inspiring that he couldn’t recover from his demons, but kept going out there to try to live his life? Or it’s just a certain brand of charisma that people are drawn towards? I liked his brand of irreverence, I guess.

I enjoyed his perspective on food, culture, travel. And he has pretty good taste in music as well.

His shows were fantastic and unlike any other travel/food show out there. In addition to being a chef and enjoying travel, he was also a writer and that came through with each episode's narration. There was a theme to each one, often summarized at the end of each episode explaining what he learned, or didn't learn throughout his travel. I think boiling it down to it being "inspiring" that he couldn't recover from his demons is a little short sighted and misses what he contributed to the normally **** world of travel/food entertainment.

dodint said he didn't understand the following. The following starts with his work. He's also now a tragic figure because of the way he died. But the following exists because of the work.

Not sure why this isn't reason enough enough for some people. He was an experienced foodie and traveler. That's literally his appeal.

Depends. This was Bourdain’s destiny, but he managed to live a long fruitful life. Most people with his demons wind up ruined or dead at a much younger age. I think his compromised version of healing wasn’t tragic. It was remarkable.

An old man lived about 30 years longer than he accounted for and ultimately made a decision to stop the pain after living one of history’s most wild lives. That is not tragic to me, no.

He was old. Old people die.

It's not his death that was tragic so much as it was the cause of death. But you make a solid point.

He was also 61. I don't really think that's "old people die" age.

He was someone everyone i respected recommended to me. And travel books were all i was reading at the time. That and philosophical books to some degree. But he just looked like someone I wouldn't be able to stand. I plan to get past that and give his stuff a try some day and I plan to love it all.

Commenting that riding a bike at 1am is dangerous after someone riding a bike at 1am dies ≠ not okay.
Commenting that a 60ish year old's death isn't a big deal because old = okay.

What an odd take.
