blacklist:
gotta be a ruse.

The way Red dotes over her you got to think if it wasn't he'd have done more. Or he got Data's emotion chip and is all of a sudden thinking much slower...

I'm not going to tell you how to paraphrase, but could you include the actual complaint next time? ;)
The show used the couple's own plans (scaled way back), hired a bum GC who left them with shoddy work. Holes in flooring, windows painted shut, never had a North Carolina licensed broker show them houses, and a raft of other things.

I'm shocked that the reality was different than what they saw on TV.

bah. DVR froze last night and cut off the last 12 minutes of blacklist. Good thing it's online!

That's even worse than ABC continually interrupting SHIELD to report on early primary poll numbers.

This is a pet peeve of mine. We have hundreds of channels and the internet. Anyone that wants to know the poll results can go ahead and use any of those lines of communication. It's not 1963 where they had 4 stations and that was the only way to find out Kennedy was shot.

Ah. That brings back memories of the time WTAE decided to run their storm warning panic... Right as the Korean couple on Lost were conversing in Korean, thua covering the subtitles. Good times.

What's worse is that they're early numbers, and nowhere near complete.

At least it was just a scrolling ticker. I can't recall which show it was, but our local Fox broadcast switches to PIP during a show to bring you the weather. Instead of putting the weatherman in the tiny window, the show you were watching goes there. I'm not even talking about serious storms, but a simple rainfall.

The thing is, when you have people speaking a foreign language with subtitles sitting around a fire, it might as well not be there at all if you can't see the subtitles.

I don't recall there being anything serious, locally anyway either.

New season of Parts Unknown started last night. Manila at Christmas is the first episode.

Interesting look at OFWs, or overseas Filipino workers. I had no idea the scale of Filipinos leaving home, sometimes for decades.

Silicon Valley premiere was OK, but not great. Hopefully they can get clicking again.

Any of you watch iZombie? Man. What a silly show. But it's fun and the acting is solid for mostly unknown actors. The girl is a zombie who eats brains of deceased people (... she's a nice zombie) and helps out a cop solve murders (she gets memories of who she eats). There's a lot more to the story and other characters do their own thing too, but, in two seasons, they've kept it interesting and the 3rd one has a new twist coming up that looks pretty exciting. They've managed to keep it from getting stale.. what I'm saying.

I actually recommend it for some light, fun, series.

We have been thinking of getting into that. We see the adverts when we watch Flash and Arrow.

The major reason I never started watching the Walking Dead was because we were simply tired of everything zombie. It'll take a few years for me to give another one a try (excluding anything that Simon Pegg may do).

If you want to cuddle up with your girl and enjoy a light show, try it. The girl who plays the zombie.. i never saw her before, but she's so funny. She will actually take on personalities of the people she eats and will act like them, so she can be sweet or stupid or ***** or slutty. The entire cast was well-chosen. There's the evil corp. doing its thing, drug gang, crime boss. Enough story to keep things interesting.

Has anyone actually watched The Ranch on Netflix? (Kutcher/Masterson) If so, recommend?

nope, but I tried watching Flaked. I got through 1 episode and it was pretty much a mess. I wanted to like it, but it didn't do anything for me. Maybe I'll revisit it again down the road.
