One question on the final play: Why didn't Bell bounce outside? Looked like he had tons of daylight, and I'll take him one-on-one vs 780% of the defeneders in the League.

Seriously guys go back and watch the chargers kick off. Kicked with 2:56 left and the kickoff went out of the end zone. The steelers took over with 2:38 on the clock. I was close to being really really upset if that would have ended up mattering
That's a debacle

NFL Network is saying that Ben drew up the 72 yard play to Wheaton. Fire Haley!

Also, just saw a post-game interview with Vick where he said Ben pretty much drew up the big play TD to Wheaton on the sidelines right beofre that possession.

Yeah I rewatched that replay frame by frame from multiple views. Two times he planted his foot with a clear lane to bounce outside untouched must likely. But regardless, excellent blocking by our two tight ends and decastro and fullback/third tight end

There should be a heavy penalty for the home team and the officials for that.

Wow, I was going to make a joke post about that. Someone said the drive needed to take 2:56, and I was like "There's only 2:38 on the clock, derh"." I didn't realize that was a serious thing.

Bouncing outside might've taken too much time.

Don't forget to give Heath some credit. He gave up his brain to setup that run.
oh my christ. I almost forgot.

Jesus.... I know he popped right back up because he is a cold blooded warrior that doesn't have any b*tch in his heart....

but man... I just hate to see my favorite guy take a shot like that.

Theres no doubt he's concussed.

idc what anyone says

Also Kevin Butler has improved leaps and bounds from the opener. They've moved firmly into competent bend don't break while being pretty aggressive. Don't get home as much as you'd like but at least going down swinging.

Eh, NFL is liberal with the clock anyway. Like, that definitely wasn't a 5 second play but they let the run hit 0 because "who cares"

Same thing with the 17 second kickoff thing. They're just inconsistent with clock stopping

I was watching the game with my dad and told him when the chargers had the ball up 3 with 5 minutes left Butler pretty much was in Madden blitz mode. If they lost it was in no way his fault because of how pathetic the offense was so they pretty much brought the house and pressured the hell out of Rivers in the fourth. It was nice to see.

The following comes from the official Game Book on NFL.com.
4-8-PIT 36 (2:59) J.Lambo 54 yard field goal is GOOD, Center-M.Windt, Holder-M.Scifres.
PIT 17 SD 20, 12 plays, 44 yards, 4:46 drive, 12:04 elapsed
J.Lambo kicks 65 yards from SD 35 to end zone, Touchback.
Pittsburgh Steelers at 2:56, (1st play from scrimmage 2:38)
1-10-PIT 20 (2:38) (Shotgun) L.Bell left guard to PIT 27 for 7 yards (J.Wilson)
Ummmmmm...

It was Old Man Harrison if it's the play I'm thinking of.
