But if you click on "Pirates" on The Athletic, there isn't a Pirates article since last Wednesday. There's a few articles on Twitter personalities in Pittsburgh (which is a good read), some national trade rumors, and a few other articles about baseball that mention a Pirate.
That's just...odd that they don't actually cover every game in some format. My question is this normal, or a COVID thing?

I was scanning the radio dial last night and got to KDKA AM and my ears started bleeding...Zeise was on doing his show since The Fan had the Pirates game. He was talking politics...terrible stuff. Has he done that all baseball season long this year when his Fan show isn't on? I bet Cigna and Honsberger were probably rolling in their graves.

"The Hons Man" was a Limbaugh clone at the end but I was a Cigna fan back when he did the nightly talk show before taking over for Bogut in morning drive time.I was scanning the radio dial last night and got to KDKA AM and my ears started bleeding...Zeise was on doing his show since The Fan had the Pirates game. His twitter has been 99% politics lately, I just unfollowed him. Had the Fan on this morning and decided to give it ago.
From 7:14 to 7:25 I heard one update on scores, the rest commercials.
Got back in the truck around 7:29 and it was still commercials until like 7:34.
Heard 30 seconds of them talking about the terrible towel and got out at Sheetz. Got back in like 4 minutes later, and it was commercials again. Then switched to DVE.
How is that possible, that was stupid.

Back in olden times i would just put da fan on in the background during my normal routine (assemble lunch, make coffee, possibly iron a shirt (hahah iron a shirt)) and would frequently hear nothing except maybe a weather report an update, and 2 minutes of idle talk with the rest commercials. compelling stuff
on this morning, i'm listening to a college footbaw podcast and actually hearing....content?

That's the only reason why it was on in the first place, because of Saturday.

It really is unfortunate that there are people out there looking for good local content about actual games played and games to be played and you cant find it on da fan. That's the only reason why it was on in the first place, because of Saturday.

The WDVE morning show probably has better sports content than an entire morning on the Fan.

I laughed at this the other day.

Agree. The FAN morning show is worthless IMO.The WDVE morning show probably has better sports content than an entire morning on the Fan.
For as much as people hate Cook, he actually tries to talk sports. Just has to keep Starkey reigned in.
Muller and Poni are all just hot takes, can't listen.
Zeise would actually be decent IMO except the dude can't speak. But he'll talk sports.
The weekends are great though IMO on the FAN. The morning/early afternoon. That's what I would love on a consistent basis.

Honestly, I think this is the case. I prefer them over at least anyone else when it comes to Steeler talk in the morning. The WDVE morning show probably has better sports content than an entire morning on the Fan.

Prisuta is good, no one on the fan that isn’t a guest like bouchette is anywhere close. The hosts are just Twitter reply guys.

Chris Carter from dk sports is insinuating al villineuva is racist since he supported a black fallen hero over a black man killed by police.

The SJW's (Matt Gatkja being one) are saying Villeneuva is a bad teammate because he didn't conform to the team.Chris Carter from dk sports is insinuating al villineuva is racist since he supported a black fallen hero over a black man killed by police.

I think it's silly to take an extreme stance either way without hearing from Villanueva

He is a bad teammate. There have been two occasions throughout the multi-year timeline of the kneeling for the anthem/BLM movement in the NFL where the Steelers have come out and said this is what we’re going to do and we’re all going to do it as a team and Al went and acted like a special snowflake and did his own thing on both occasions. Not once did a black Steelers player say **** the organization and what they want, I’m going to kneel for the anthem anyways and suffer the consequences. They always followed the marching orders of the ownership, coaching staff, and team leaders about what they should do, something Al has now failed to do on two occasions. He’s a shitty teammate and a shitty leader who thinks he’s above everyone else.... like most military officers.
However, that does not make him racist.

What would you call it then? Since he obviously wants to be different than the rest of his teammates. Or does it not matter since his opinion falls in line with your beliefs?
