Steelers v. Ravens - Week 4 GDT

Postby Sam's Drunk Dog » Thu Oct 01, 2015 7:06 am

I was going to do a flashy, stats heavy thread for the game, but this is Steelers vs Ravens. We don't need fancy stats and colorful graphics to be pumped for this game.

I normally don't give predictions. And the only thing I know is that there will be trash talk. There will be anger. There will be hate. There will be pain. THERE WILL BE BLOOD.

The odds may be against us, but anything can happen in a rivalry game.

GO STEELERS!!!!

Go under! (44.5)
Love you, tif and my little shmenguin.
I'm hoping Vick throws a 70 yard bomb on the second play and changes the dynamic of the game immediately. That'd be great.

Yeah, I'd love to see an early deep ball to Bryant or something like that...like the Vick-Desean Jackson connections of a few years back.

My gut tells me 17-14 Ravens.

For some reason I thought his suspension was over, thank you. How about a bomb to the newly rejuvenated DHB then?

I was originally plotting some sort of snarky response to that post...but then realized that I could be wrong about Bryant being back week 5.

Basically the same here. If the Ravens D totally craps the bed and L Bell has a career like game the Steelers can pull it off.

As an addendum to my previous prediction:

Heart says I'll take whatever score that screws over the gamblers on here.
Gut says 17-14 Ravens.

Steelers 12-10

It's still sort of hard to believe that the Ravens came into the season with Steve Smith as their only WR. He's going to start running out of gas pretty soon. I'm guessing they continue coming up short in close games, and then end up picking in the top 10 and getting another Hlati Ngata type stud that anchors the defense for 5+ years.

That's the joy. You can't screw over all of them. Pick your favorite if you like.

division games, especially Stillers/Ravens are big stay away games for me. Not to mention that no one will know what Vick will look like.

I might take the over though

I'm not sure what to think of Thursdays anymore. They've been weird all year.

I kind of figure that the offense is going to be mostly Bell, and an endless shower of screens.

13-10 steelers

I took the ravens minus the points for a small bet because

Gotta get dat is paper

But if the Steelers win, I will still be very happy

Ravens 20 Stillers 6

Only way the Steelers win this one is if the D steps up big time. I'm expecting Flacco to hit at least one big PI call in this one, and I'm not convinced Vick can complete anything.

steelers 19-13

Don't see the Steelers putting up enough for the over to hit and I'm pleasantly surprised with the D thus far.
