I think the injury is a result of them pressing the ball downfield. That resulted in four of the five sacks the Rams got and the terrible interception.
The hit happened almost the moment he completed his drop back. He had literally just set his feet.

Does he also receive blame for Ben's injury?

If so, that would clear up a big debate in here as to why Ben was injured.
