I think they throw your application away at software engineering jobs if you don't have at least a bachelors degree

I definitely don't agree with it though.

Godrics biggest mistake in life is that I tried teaching him C++ but he wasn't interested.

a college degree means that you're probably committed to...something. there's an implicit stability that is appealing to employers. not in every case, of course.

I feel like the military is a true commitment, not really college... but one doesn't have to pay to join the military.

Mrs. Franchise has a Social Work degree from Lock Haven and is now looking 20 years later to pursue her MSW online, possibly with the University of North Dakota (of all places)- it is highly rated both in program quality and affordability.

It also only requires 36 credits if you have a BSW- most require 60.

Yeah, this Masters of Human Resource Management from Saint Francis is really quality stuff. All online. 33 credits. I'm a little over halfway through (starting year 2).

Honestly, online classes are the future.

USAF then some BS school that took my GI Bill money (and a lot of my own) promising to give me an education but in reality all I did was waste a ton of time.
sounds familiar. I need to pay my own way at a community school now to save whats left of my GI Bill for something real.

This is the first time someone described online classes to me in a way that didn't portray them as a joke.

I've made much much much much bigger mistakes than that lol.

And I was totally interested. That stuff just doesn't come easy to me like certain other things.

I was trying to teach myself like 2 years ago my ex was teaching herself at the same time and picked it up so easy

And this is a girl who couldn't grasp/conceptualize basic **** in other classes that weren't math oriented

Had we stayed in Pittsburgh long enough, I would have gone to Penn State. But alas, I moved to SC in 11th grade. My dad was a state employee and I would've gone to any state school in PA tuition free, and I was interested in State College.

Instead I went to Clemson. Which is sort of similar to Penn State.

I always got the impression from my SC buddies that USC was more like USP.

The correct assessment is:

ACC > SEC > B10

Marshall went down and played both USC and Clemson in the late 90's (and beat both of them) and everything I heard from Marshall fans was that Clemson folks were 1 million times nicer than USC folks.

I guess from the "flagship state university" standpoint, it is, but SC doesn't have an agriculture program. Clemson's a land grant college, so ag stuff is a big deal there.

And USC is in California... ;)

When people say "Carolina" or "USC", nobody thinks of the University of South Carolina. They should just embrace the Cocks.
