I'm hesitant to rule out anything, but no. Opening that door puts cracks in my Deism. Maybe.

Old story re-share

My grandparents lived in a haunted house.

There were many stories of supernatural nonsense from that place (coocoo clocks with no internals going off at 3 am, silly things like that), but there were two that take the cake.
I've shared these before, so spoilered for those that don't want to read)

My uncle was a very talented artist, was in the running for a job as a Disney animator in the early 80s. When he was a kid, he drew a portrait of Jesus with the crown of thorns. It was taped to the wall in his bedroom, along the top edge of the paper. There would be days when you could not pry the paper away from the wall, not even using tools. Conversely, there were other days when it would stick out at 90 degrees to the wall, and no amount of force would either get the thing to lower or to pull away from the wall.

The creepiest one tho...... my pap was a physically powerful man, like 24" arms. There's a picture of him acting as the jack for a car, holding it over his head. (No idea how the photo was staged, but I don't think he actually lifted the rear end of car over his head) One day, he and nan were coming home. The garage was off the alley behind the house; only when they got to their house, pap could not turn the steering wheel. At all. Thing would not budge an inch. They got to the far end of the alley, and made a u-turn and tried the other direction. Same deal. So they park and go to the house.... when they open the door, it's like 25 degrees inside. (This is a summer day, mind you) So they freak out and head to their church, where the priest or monsignor agrees to come back to their house and check things out. Same car steering thing happens again. They park, go up to the house and open the door. The holy man steps inside (something nan and pap did not do), goes "Oh my" and promptly passes out.
The only memory I have of the residence is that's where I watched "KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park".

Don't believe in them. Never had any experiences to convince me otherwise.

I'm not sure how to answer the question exactly...but growing up in a 150 year old house that someone had been documented to have died in, I certainly have a lot of questions...

I'm pretty sure the wife of the guy we bought this house from killed herself in this house.

But no...there are no ghosts. We are sentient meat and nothing else.

That's so cool! I visited her grave a few years ago and wrote about it in my book. It was ridiculously hard to find.

That is awesome.

Almost nobody knows about this and the only reason I did was because of family lore.

I actually found out about it watching Jeopardy. One of the contestants mentioned going to the grave during the interview portion of the show. It's such a fascinating story.

That is even crazier. We went and visited it when I was a kid.

I read this as a stutter and not a shortened way to say Great Great Grandfather. Made sense with it being a g-g-g-ghost thread....
