What’s the deal with Rodgers? He doesn’t like what the team is up to or he’s done living in a bottom rung part of earth?

honestly I feel like he's being a diva. I think he's upset that they drafted Love, which is, you know, the same exact thing that happened with Favre and him way back when

Right, and he answered with an MVP. It's Garrapalo in NE all over.
I just proved that I'm still a BAMF, so send this numpty (Love) somewhere else so we can improve the team while I'm still here.

I think that Schefter bombshell was purposely timed by Rodgers to try and pressure the Packers to draft on offense. Clearly, that strategy failed.

I love how no one knows anything about his behind the scenes interactions or what he's feeling at the moment, but everyone's certain they do...

My guess it this has all been blown out of proportion and Rodgers plays in GB this season. If it is true that he's refusing to play for them, well, if I'm GB, I call his bluff. He can sit at home and maybe host Jeopardy a few more times.

To your point, I saw this comment on Acme Packing Company. Gave me a good chuckle.
It is obvious what is happening here and I cannot believe no one has caught on...

Shailene Woodley doesn't want to spend 6-months in Green Bay, especially with much of that time during the winter. She wants to be in California, New York or Miami -- somewhere with lots of culture and her celebrity friends... bonus if it is also warm.

If Rodgers wasn't engaged to her then none of this would be happening. Sure the Love pick didn't help and Rodgers looked at what TB did and thinks he could do the same elsewhere but I cannot imagine she isn't pulling the strings behind the scenes.

However lets look at the facts -- Rodgers is under contract for 2021... the dead money cap hit from a trade now means it is impossible to trade him until at least June (even then not great) and Green Bay isn't going to trade away the MVP for an unknown pick in 2022 and a bunch of so-so players they don't have the cap-space to pay. Green Bay has also fielded one of the most successful teams of the past 2-seasons so unlike M Stafford or D Watson he cannot complain about playing for a loser.

Love may be the future but has yet to throw a meaningful pass even in a preseason game. So unlike in 2008 when the Favre drama hit and the organization knew what they had in Rodgers, Love is a total mystery. Green Bay is in no position to move on from QB#12 this season. With all that I seriously doubt that Rodgers will be under center anywhere else but Green Bay this season... Maybe they part ways in 2022 but for this year Green Bay couldn't trade Rodgers even if they wanted to.

So I have no choice to think Shailene Woodley is behind Rodgers recent unhappiness. Plus this is probably all blown way out of proportion and complete media hype to get views/clicks.

I can see it. Hard to eat clay and sun your vagina in Green Bay.

Apparently this take was close. IIRC they haven't drafted an offensive player in round 1 in ages, and when they do, they draft his replacement. So dude held a grudge, put up MVP numbers, ran a top ranked offense, then waited until draft night to drop the bombshell to screw the Pack.

Dude seems to hold grudges like no other, so it is plausible to me.

The source I read said he'd been told that they would move him in the off-season, and when that hadn't happened by Draft Day he went nuclear trying to force their hand.

Yeah, the Browns already had imo the best roster in the AFCN, and they've already gotten better in the draft. Booo.

Meh. A team has to win the afc north. I’d rather it be the browns over cinci or Baltimore, if it’s not the stillers.
