The NFL has fined the Washington Football Team $10 million as a result of the league's investigation into the team's workplace culture.
The money "will be used to support organizations committed to character education, anti-bullying, healthy relationships and related topics," the league said.
In addition, Tanya Snyder, who was named the team's co-CEO this week, will take over the day-to-day duties and represent the franchise at league functions for the next several months. Her husband, Dan Snyder, will focus "on a new stadium plan and other matters," the NFL said.

Ashley Moss responded to the alleged incident with the following statement to the Seattle Times:
“At this time we’re going to make no statements, except he didn’t harm anybody,” Moss said. “My kids were not harmed in the incident. He’s a good person and this is not his character. We’re doing all right, just trying to get him out. I want people to know no one was injured.”
At Sherman's hearing, she reiterated her support for her husband pledged to get him the care that he needs, via the AP:
“I love and support my husband," Sherman's wife, Ashley Sherman, said in a statement after the hearing. "I am committed to helping Richard get the support and care that he needs. Richard has always been a loving father and husband. And we are looking forward to seeing him at home with his family.”

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if it is tied to being the best for so long, the attitude you have to have to get there, and slowly but surely losing that ability and bigger picture, the control you once had on your life.It sounds like he if fighting some demons. Hope he gets the help he needs.
To play in the NFL and further to be one of the best typically takes a certain type of savage wild human. They believe that hard work and attitude gets them everywhere and up to a point they were right. Now that all of that is falling apart they have to control something and that’s usually the people they love.

I didn’t know where to put this, but
After several seasons away from football, former NFL wide receiver Martavis Bryant signed with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League earlier this year with hopes of making a return to the gridiron, but he’s yet to make a positive impression on his new team. Bryant was recently placed on the Argonauts’ suspended players list for failing to report to training camp when it opened over the weekend.

Huge loss for the Rams (and my keeper team). Cam Akers out for the year.

They were just talking about this on TV. The Rams have a great roster of 22 starters, but their depth at many positions is lacking. RB1 just went down for an entire year with a non-contact Achilles injury in training (training injuries manage to suck more than game injuries imo), but RB2 missed June mini-camp with an undisclosed injury. They're in the most complete top-to-bottom division in football - drop the Cardinals into just about any other division in the League and they're a playoff team. but in the NFC West they might only win 7 games - so the Rams can't really afford hits to their starting roster.

why the **** does that story (Akers' injury) need Stephen A Smith's opinion on it?

Carried over from the COVID thread discussion
NFL informs clubs that COVID-19 outbreaks among unvaccinated players could lead to forfeited games
If this ends up coming to pass, I would like to know if the players on the non-outbreak team would have a cause of action against the outbreak team to recover their lost game pay under the 'cover financial losses' aspect of the directive.
NFL informs clubs that COVID-19 outbreaks among unvaccinated players could lead to forfeited games
The last paragraph is the real sack tap imo. If a visiting team causes a cancelation......... whoo boy.As the NFL approaches the 2021 season, the league informed clubs that it would not extend the season to accommodate a COVID-19 outbreak among unvaccinated players that causes a game cancellation.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Thursday that the NFL sent a memo to its clubs stating that if a game cannot be rescheduled during the 18-week schedule due to a COVID-19 outbreak among unvaccinated players, the team with the outbreak will forfeit and be credited with a loss, per sources informed of the situation.
In addition, players on both teams will not be paid for the lost contest, and the team responsible for the cancelled game due to unvaccinated players will cover financial losses and be subject to potential discipline from the Commissioner's office.
