Either of those works for me. It' just more logical to go progressively from longer time measurement to shorter (2015-08-12) or shorter to longer (12-Aug-2015) than it does to use 8/12/2015.2015-08-12

I haven't yet.You get used to it.I woldn't mind going metric with distances, but I don't think I could get my head around understanding weather forecasts that use celsius.

I like the month/day/year because that's how we usually say it. August 12th 2015. But there is the 12th day if August 2015. I'm okay with the day first as long as kids are still allowed on airplanes.

To echo dodint's point, I really wouldn't care, and I'd probably mentally convert KM to miles in my brain to imagine how long a trip is. That being said, the gas station thing is really annoying. Instead of multiplying price/gallon by like 12 or 13, you have to multiply price per liter by like 48 or 50. It's a tad more cumbersome.
