Lot of power in that roster. I tend to swap Boggs out for DeJong because I have 0 luck hitting with Boggs, but DeJong has maybe 13 hits and 12 homers? Also just pulled a Giancarlo Stanton, but I literally have nowhere to fit him into my roster.

Nephew is turning 7 and the family is looking to get him a switch. Any recommendations for good games? This would be first console game system. Also are the switch lite games are compatible with regular switch?

Make sure you clear that with his parents, lol. My older half-brother bought us an NES back in the day without my parents' knowledge and they were mad. If they only knew how much time their grandkids spent in front of video games now...lol.

All Switch games are compatible, afaik. The Lite is just an all-in-one unit that doesn't hook up to a TV.

As for games, can't go wrong with Mario Kart and Animal Crossing. Probably will want Minecraft on there as well.

For Mario kart do you also need to purchase the steering wheel accessory or can you just use the controller as is

We didn't buy the steering wheel thing, but that might be a nice combo for your nephew. Uncle of the Year Award material, naturally.

Screw the steering wheel, if you're gonna buy a controller get something useful like the pro controller or whatever. I dunno about the Switch version, but I remember for Wii, using a pro or GC controller was wayyyyy more precise than the wheel.

If they are into platformers, Super Mario Odyssey is excellent.

I didn't say it wasn't fun, but I found the game to controls significantly better with a real controller. Much more precise.

Finally got to watch the HFW state of play. Looks fantastic.

Just got NHL 21. Was $20 and I haven't had a hockey game since '14 maybe? Be a pro looks fun...similar to Th Show. Will be giving it a go here the next couple days.

Be a Pro gets repetitive super quickly. It’s not nearly as in depth as the show, the in-game coach feedback disrupts game flow and after a few games you will be predicting everything the coach says. It also doesn’t really matter. Your pro will progress exactly the same regardless of the feedback and if you complete a challenge or fail. I enjoy online play since there’s some variety (emphasis on some since once you get to a certain level everybody plays pretty much the same strategies).

NHL should be way better than it is but it gets next to no improvements as all the focus is on Madden and FIFA as far EA is concerned.

They didn't even bother to make an updated version to run better on PS5 or Series X like ea did for for Madden and FIFA. It's the red headed step child at EA.

Flight Sim has shown up in game pass for console and has been rated. Rumors are going that it will be an E3 "and it's available now" release. I'm excited to play for a week, struggle to take off, then give up.

As in MS Flight Simulator 2020? Where are you seeing this? It's not available for me, and the Xbox app only shows it as available for PC.

They've committed to a summer release. That can always change, obviously, but so far it appears to be on track for some time this summer.
