yeppers, it's finally here... my thoughts were to dissect the past 9 or 10 season of the Pens but with the sale imminent, why discuss a successful business which is making coin hand over fist thanks to all of yous and me, but not for much longer... perhaps the country club will close but it's unlikely, very unlikely we see lord Stanley here anytime soon... what the buccos have now is what the pens had in 08,09,10,11... they had the mentality that they could win any game at any time... er basically the on off switch worked... Philly broke that switch in 12 and it's been hockey hell ever since... it's not players or coaching or juju... simply put its the team culture... too much superstitions, stats, player trophys, dilly bar dances, blue shirts, etc... to change someone needs to go and stomp on that damn logo in the locker room and tell those players they ain't getting younger and the time has come to play each game like it's their last, cause it maybe for some... doesn't take some advanced stats to see what makes a good team... just watch the play on the ice... but the garage league is back and instant replay is here and has killed the sport... the reffing is so bad I think the wwe has better... serious reffing the game as it goes based on the score to keep e game close and the fans interested?... wake the f up people... sport is gone and entertainment is here... speaking of which the link above has what I have been saying for years... sports Armageddon is coming and coming soon... the product is overpriced oversaturated and overmarketed... once the money starts to dry up, and it had begun to, the crumbling will begin... that bubble will burst and it will get ugly... ESPN charging 5 times as much as the next highest channel fee?... greed eventually leads to the dark side of the force and the ultimate demise... too big to fail?... look at history and recent history and yes it will come to be... as for this site, it has tried to shed itself of those germs back at lgp but eventually the virus will spread here too... the glory days of 07,08,09 are great memories but are in the past... as for spiritfan, perhaps an appearance here or there but when there's no chili for 7 goals anymore, then why watch?... the chain saw is out and ready to cut the chord and cable company will no longer profit from the spiritfan... .. .
