The main thing I've learned from F1 2020 is that there are a couple circuits that should be added permanently to the calendar (Mugello, Algarve, probably new Imola) at the expense of scrub tracks like Shanghai and Sochi

There's no shortage of cool race tracks in the world.
I've never understood the desire not to rotate races to different circuits in a region. Catalunya in even years, Algarve in odds for instance.
Meanwhile, Norris apologized for not treating people respectfully with the media. About the only thing people seem to be able to reference is that he said Stroll never learns, which is certainly mild after the move he tried Sunday.

Yea Sochi is definitely a scrub track. I don’t love Algarve though. They wouldn't look as cool, but i think if I were designing the rules package for the very first generation of autonomous race cars, I'd specify a design with full bumper surrounds like you see on go karts at amusement parks.

No trip to PittRace this year, Gingerman doesn’t thrill me. May only visit NCM if I ever get my darn car built. VIR is tempting, but March? Brr
Motorsports (non-NASCAR)
Yeah, I have known about VIR for a while. But March? WTF?
No dates in Aug, Sept, October. Guess this is the year I explore local tracks like Nelsons, Summit, and Watkins.
I like Gingerman.

I wonder if those dates will fill in as part of the 2021-2022 schedule, or if its just hard for tracks to book that far out because we don't know what COVID will look like by then.
Motorsports (non-NASCAR)
No, that's it. The only tentative date is Atlanta in November. Don't know about 2022.
There is some drama right now on the road racing side. Only one Northeast track got a SuperTour (PittRace) next year. Turns out some Pro series' snatched up the best dates in 2020 and then didn't show. Now the tracks and the amateur organizers have lost faith with one another.

Yeah, sessions like that aren't really representative of anything except timing. Although I don't think in Ferrari's case it's that far off.

I guess I’ll wake up tomorrow morning at 6 to watch. Even though this starting point for Ferrari is putrid. It will be interesting at least to see Mercedes not to start from the top spotYeah, sessions like that aren't really representative of anything except timing. They could probably drop a baboon into that car and get more points than I will in fantasy from the next race.

I have good news and bad news. Good news: your prediction was correct...They could probably drop a baboon into that car and get more points than I will in fantasy from the next race.
