I feel like he's looked the exact same for the last 20 years. Or maybe ever.

Sam Bush needs no introduction, but I really like Sierra a lot. So good.

As I sit here, I am thinking to myself "You know, perhaps Sam Bush does need an introduction."

I really, really, really don't care for country music.

That being said - I have to respect the elaborate show some of those entertainers put together. Pictures from the Razorback stadium last Saturday. 56 tractor trailers worth of equipment!! :scared:

I really, really, really don't care for country music.

What are you referring to when you say "country music"? Modern pop country? Classic country? Outlaw country? Bakersfield sound? Alternative country? Americana?

If you mean the pop country stuff that's played on the vast majority of "country" radio stations, then I would agree. But there is a wide world of stuff out there that falls roughly under "country" and is nothing like that stuff. Artists like Chris Knight, Lucinda Williams, and Ryan Bingham, or the older crew like Steve Earle, John Prine, Billy Joe Shaver, and Johnny Cash are a world apart from pop-country crapola like Kenny Chesney.

The power of your contrarianism is absolutely staggering.

I agree with Shyster here. Country pop has been garbage for 30 years.

I just spoke up because I also thought that all country music was hot garbage until I got XM radio maybe 15 years ago. Back then I was doing a lot of driving, so I spent some time listening to each channel to see if I had any interest in what it was. I didn't like the country channels until I got to Outlaw Country, which I found: (1) played music by people I'd never heard of; (2) played country music that sounded nothing like the stuff on country radio; and (3) played music that in many cases was actually pretty darn good. The same can be said for many genres, but for country music it's the case that there is a wide world that never makes it on the radio.

Garth Brooks was interviewed yesterday saying that this is probably it for stadium tours for him. Too big, too expensive, and subject to the elements. He'd prefer multiple nights at an indoor arena, where it's easier on his crew and more fans can see him in one location.

Not a Brooks fan, but he's a good songwriter and performer. And one time Pirates spring training invitee. 😂
