I will have to check them out. I didn't bother so far, because a band from Chicago calling themselves Chicago and naming their albums Chicago I, Chicago II, Chicago III etc. always seemed like one of the best reasons for the necessity of punk rock to me.

but seriously, kath quit that (or was about to quit the) band because he thought theyd become too conventional. a lot of their early stuff was good afaic

Way back in the days when years started with a 1, I got a 90 minute notice that could go see Liz Phair at a theater in DTLA 'on the list'. So I went with a co-worker friend of mine with no idea who this singer lady was, and I found out she had a song where she talked about wanting to be your 'blowjob queen'. Instant fan.
