The mid-Atlantic and the midwest hates Nickelback, and the rest of the US hates the Bieb. That seems rather accurate.

http://mic.com/articles/113796/this-map ... e-musician
i thought it would be the opposite. nickelback is the generic schlock that the midwest should eat up, while bieber's lifestyle is more of a coastal thing that the midwest would fear.

Saw Screaming Females last night. I like their tamer new album. They did a nice job of mixing up that with their more raucous older stuff.

There're a lot of appealing shows coming up.

Chappo - 4/4
Zappa Plays Zappa - 4/8
Dan Deacon - 4/9
Foxygen - 4/13
Primus - 4/14
Modest Mouse - 4/20
Mountain Goats - 4/23
...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead - 4/30
Ben Folds 5/4
Of Montreal 5/5
Lower Dens 5/9
Antlers 5/11
Palma Violets 5/21
MMJ 6/4
Father John Misty 6/6
Gogol 6/12
Twin Peaks 6/17
A Place to Bury Strangers 6/20
The Kills 8/1 (Detroit)

I think ...trail of dead passes through here twice a year.

I still want to scratch Primus off my list, but I'm not really familiar with their recent stuff.

Lots of discussion about Courtney Barnett in the media. Her debut is out, and I enjoyed it.

Not sure if I like how she sings with an Aussie accent...I find that a bit odd.

Debut full-length. I like her song Avant Gardner from a couple years ago.

Spent the last week or so learning the acoustic guitar version of 'Love Of My Life' (Queen) as performed by Extreme at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. Piano songs on guitar can be tricksy.

Always liked this Cop Shoot Cop track that was in one of the R Kern films:

Eismann would probably enjoy.

Wow, Cop Shoot Cop's highest played song on Spotify has 3,670 listens. That's impressively low.

On that note, I kept hearing a Cabaret Voltaire song in my dream last night and it was freaking me out. I can't find the song, though.

Radio commercial for upcoming Van Halen show at the Hollywood Bowl; all three songs used in the bed were from '1984'.
