This is a great read

https://www.palmspringslife.com/frank-sinatra-grave/
At least that’s what it used to say. In January, I noticed his gravestone had been changed. It’s all shiny and new now. No more Beloved Husband & Father. And the best, evidently, is not coming. That’s gone too. Now it says Sleep Warm, Poppa.

Odd. Why would someone replace the marker his wife, Barbara, had so carefully selected, a marker that would be replicated almost exactly to mark her own burial right next to him when she died in 2017? Barbara, it seems, will forever be a Beloved Wife & Mother. But Frank is … what? Tucked in? Keeping warm?

Apple just announced that they will be offering lossless playback, Dolby Atmos, and some other goodies for all subscribers for no upcharge starting in June. Not sure who was first, but we all win!

Oh that's interesting and good to hear. Pretty silly to be charging as much as they did for that before (I'm probably even dumber for paying for it)

Source of the post also the most overrated guitarist of all time
You had me until this. He's still an amazing guitarist.
How? Seriously, what about his playing makes him THAT good? Is he a good guitarist? Sure. So are 1,000,000 other people. Dude doesn't do and has never done anything new or spectacular on the guitar. He's a hack. He's nothing more than a good guitar player. Yet people like to use the word AMAZING with him all the time.
Clapton is a hack

He may be a hack, racist, loon, conspiracy theorist, but my favorite horribly tasteless joke revolves around him. "What's the difference between a bag of heroin and a baby?"

I enjoy Clapton's music very much. I enjoy the way he plays. I enjoy the way he plays with all the different people and different bands throughout his career. I enjoy his songs. I enjoy the way he goes off during a live show. Seems like he's a pretty big dick, but I still like his music.

There's a difference between liking a musician and that musician being AMAZING.

That's fair. You like that performance above?

I really try my hardest to stay away from that person sucks, that person is amazing. It's tough and sometimes I forget everyone has different tastes. Quite frankly I don't care if Clapton or whoever is considered amazing or not, I just enjoy what I enjoy. Now, if you are over at my house and I bust out my Eddie Money autographed DVD of his music videos and you say these aren't for me, it would probably be the last time I talk to said person and you definitely wouldn't be sticking around for the Boston airband performance later in the night.

I have always had trouble separating art from the artist and it's no different in this case. I can't like the music while disliking the musician.

I enjoy Cream and some of his solo stuff. He's a good songwriter.

Have you heard James Hatfield do Baby Hold On?

And Boston is a staple in our household. So much so that their first album is what was played at my dad's funeral...

I can separate the 2 in almost all cases. Maybe even all of them (Himself by Bill Cosby is probably still funny). I always say that if we can't enjoy art made by dadholes than we have very little art, if any, to enjoy.

I haven’t tried to listen or watch any Cosby in a long time but I don’t think I can separate him from, you know, all the raping.

I'm not gonna buy a Cosby album or even suggest someone listen to it. But if I heard some of the bits from there again I'd probably laugh.

How is Stage AE as an outdoor venue? Are lawn seats fine or should you go after premium seating? I'm guessing there are seats by the front of the stage with a grass area in the back?

Agree with the take that "if you can't separate the artist from the art, just give up on art". I won't consume any new material by a known s*ithead, but I sorta presume some measure of s*itheadery going in.

Aside from George Carlin's last HBO show where he came out and opened with "F**k Lance Armstrong", this is probably my favorite opening bit to a standup act ever. (Warning: JJ is pretty cursey)

Pretty good time. Premium seats are between the pit and the lawn seats.
