might not be a bad idea to spend the solstice somewhere very remote and perhaps stay there until all of this stops sucking so much

5afs solstice enthusiasm has inspired me to host a solstice party to celebrate the longest day of the year. I'll take any excuse to day drink, smoke some ribs and play some cornhole and kan jam

Ballers,

Today, June 20, 2020 is the summer solstice. The sun will set on 8:53.

It goes without saying that 2020 is weird and for the most part sucks. On a personal level, the kangaroo had to go to two separate funerals this week (not a normal occurrence) including a service for my uncle today. Cancer sucks.

But if there is one thing 2020 should teach us, it is that we should enjoy the good things in life, and maybe we should try to be good to each other. The weather in pittsburgh is gonna be muggy, but go out and enjoy it anyways. If you are going to argue about politics on the internet, at least go outside before arguing politics. If you’re having a party like the ulfster, eat well and drink well

Just enjoy it you ballers

sorry about your uncle ktk, not a great way to spend the solstice.

I'm putting the ribs in the smoker in a bit, and having pulled pork and burnt ends brought over by a caterer. Looks like a nice day of day drinking, bbq, cornhole, kan jam and spikeball ahead of us.

I originally tried to schedule this for tomorrow thinking the solstice was 6/21 and moved it due to father's day when I realized that. So what a pleasant surprise that it is actually the solstice today. Thank you for your service, baller.

There it is

Sorry about your uncle Kenneth. Cancer does indeed suck

I had a coworker that needed to get tested for Covid. I was in the lab with him Monday and Wednesday. Just got his test results and they were negative. So I am going to enjoy the solstice a little more knowing I’m probably not a carrier

It never struck me as a kid that the days slowly start to get shorter once summer starts. At first it isn't noticeable, but as July wears on you start to realize the sun is setting closer to 8 and before. I remember it always seemed like summer vacation flew by once the Fourth passed, and in hindsight I'm sure the slowly shortening days helped create that.

First time out with wife in months without the kid at one of our favorite eateries in good ol' Indiana, PA on a perfect night of outside dining.

It was indeed a good solstice.

Good solstice on this end. Right as the solstice hit us, my pick in the Belmont sprung from the gate on his way to a convincing victory. That came after I popped off a 10-mile bike ride, which is on the longer end of my journeys. After the race, I scarfed down a calzone from my favorite local pizza place (made sure to have my mask on when I went inside too...it's the law now). Feliz Solstice indeed.

Went to the Jersey Shore with the family, ate lunch at a “locals” place with great seafood and cocktails, and sat on the beach until 6:30. Rained at home, but perfect at the shore. Twas a good day.
