That’s the kind of nonsense you used to see in CZW. It has no business being in a mainstream promotion.

The truth is I think he did it just to do it - which really cheapens the move and impact. He also did it to a guy who's not really the catcher of this type of stuff.
It was just blatantly stupid. Whether he feels like he needs to do this stuff to stay over is a concern. He's already over, we're just entering ego territory at that point.

I could maaaaaybe see that being used in a blow off PPV match (still wouldn’t like it) but a nothing match on TV with no build makes it even dumber. Watching somebody legit hurt themselves and do unsafe stunts is not entertaining to me anymore, especially after seeing Mick Foley struggle to walk.

Agreed. I don't even think it's a PPV move, that's an Owen Hart next on the edge of a chair move life ender. The days of ECW type scaffolding matches on PPVs are way beyond what we should be. It's not a deal breaker for me by any stretch, but AEW needs rightly criticized for this and the care of their workers.

I definitely worry that Darby will be paralyzed or dead in a few years. Tony really needs to step in and nix some of this ****.
On the flip side, if you haven't seen the MJF-Wardlow segment, do so asap. MJF is just at another level.

They let him do that with Martha Hart in the building last night. Pretty tone deaf IMO.Agreed. I don't even think it's a PPV move, that's an Owen Hart next on the edge of a chair move life ender. Darby trying to kill himself aside, that was easily the best episode of Dynamite in weeks. Lots of good matches, one of the best contract signing segments in a long time, if not ever, and even the JAS segment was better than expected.
Things are looking pretty stacked leading up to the ppv as well. The 2 quarterfinals matches with jokers are next week. Will be interesting to see if they are current roster members like Miro that have been off TV or new signings like Gargano or Cesaro. Not sure on the women's side.

Not a fan of the Darby spot at all. Also not a fan of the Hardys doing dangerous high spots as well considering their bodies looked wrecked.
It’s irresponsible for Tony to allow stuff like that. Unfortunately I think it will come back to bite him at some point.

I don't know what to make of this.
On one hand, it seems like they are really trying to get their side of out there in a way that they normally don't... But that also makes me suspicious.
Then again, seeing what they come up with sometimes, I don't think they would/could pull something like this as a work so I guess we'll see what else comes out about this.

Rumor has it Vince told Sasha and Naomi they were going to feud and Naomi was going to come out on top of whatever match was supposed to be last night, right after they won the belt.
Neither Sasha nor Naomi wanted it.

It's been reported in the past that Sasha was/is unhappy with her character and storylines. Hard to blame her, really. She's a big star with crossover appeal and she's treading water in a tag team with a belt that nobody cares about. This kind of thing used to happen a lot more. The wrestlers in WWE now seem like they're just happy to be there.

I thought the rumor was both Sasha and Naomi were going to be used to put over the current Raw/Smackdown champions.Rumor has it Vince told Sasha and Naomi they were going to feud and Naomi was going to come out on top of whatever match was supposed to be last night, right after they won the belt.

I pretty much would hate to be in a tag team in WWE. That basically means that no matter what kind of success you have, if you truly aren't special (USOs, New Day), you're only in that team to split up and feud with the person you're tagging with. It's kind of lame.

Reports are coming out today that talent had never heard Sasha or Naomi call anybody unsafe until WWE's statement about their walking out. So they were upset about creative plans and WWE spun it to act like Sasha and Naomi don't trust their co-workers apparently to try to turn the locker room against them. Good luck with that.

Do they assume these wrestlers don't talk to each other?

Vince is still old school, so yes he does.

Was he actually announced as All Elite? Kinda hoping it's just a guest appearance.
Although if they wanted to dump Hager and add him to the JAS, that would be an upgrade... Otherwise dont really see where he fits in with so many people already fighting for time.

Very much so.Meh.
He looked off tonight. He landed about 3 ft short on his 450 and was telegraphing moves so poorly that even the most novice fan would have noticed him directing Joe for about 15 seconds while standing on the top rope before hitting his spot.
There were a few other things that stuck out, but I don't care enough to go back and rewatch the match.

Apparently Danielson got his leg caught between the ring and the ramp for several minutes after their match for Rampage. He limped off waving to the crowd afterwards. Hopefully the limp was kayfabe and he wasn't injured.

I don't know why but I just watched this 20 minute video where Adam Cole, Evil Uno, and Danhausen try to identify N64 games based off of a screen shot. I went 12/15.
This also could've gone in the video game thread.
