Yeah, it was only redeemable at Guy's and the sports bar.

We landed on $336. $100 of which was wings. At the sports bar, obvs. Though I have eaten at Guy's. Guy's is dumb. The menu doesn't match the setting. Have some nice salmon in a diner...

I haven't been there since mother's day 2021. Sounds like the prices have gone up. That's impressive.

We were talking about pizza yesterday, and my daughter asked me if she ever had Pizza Hut before (commercial had just run). I thought about it, and realized that she had not. So, tonight I'll be grabbing Pizza Hut for dinner.

Gotta try it to know if you like it or not. I used to love going to Pizza Hut when I was a kid (Book It!, baby!).

I had Pizza hut recently and it's pretty bad. Maybe nostalgia goggles are real, but I loved it as a kid...both with Book it, and just as a treat.

I think sitting down there and the old aesthetic was a big part of it. None of the ones now have that 80's/90's feel anymore at all.

I worked at Pizza Hut in the '90s. It cemented my hate for Star Wars because we were heavily promoting Jar Jar Binks junk. I actually liked their pizza at the time, but for whatever reason the last couple years it's been very bad. Their whole premise was that they make their own dough, fresh not frozen. But somehow it's awful.

There's actually an old school red roof location near me with authentic interior. Bit of a drive, though, so I'll stick to take out.

My dad worked at Pizza hut for period of time when I was a kid... I had Pizza hut pizza almost every weekend. Probably also why I got fat around that time haha.

I'm sure I or someone else has shared this nugget before, but one of the crazier Pizza Hut bit of trivia is that they were once the world's largest purchaser of kale, despite kale never appearing as a food item on their menu. (Bed liner for their in-store salad bars)

I've never fact-checked that, but I'm happy to accept it on face value.

So much nostalgia there, right down to the red plastic cups.

When I quit I took a personal pan pizza pan with me. I use it as a coin tray. I also took a red cup but I've lost it since then.

I initially just read that as "I took a personal pan pizza with me", and I was like "mate..."

I thought for sure you'd nail me for how I expressed that, but you did it in a way I did not contemplate. Hat tip to you, sir.

I used to love the pan pizza. Then it started giving me the shits and the thin crust just didn't match the quality/taste of the pan. Haven't had Pizza Hut pizza in a good 15 years I'd wager.

I'm tempted to order pizza hut for lunch now even though I know it will probably suck.

I still like the pan pizza okay because of the bottom crust I think. The other crust options are bad.

Perfect Pizza Hut is hard to beat(pan only)

Mediocre Pizza Hut is very easy to beat

I don't know why you'd order something like thin crust from Pizza Hut, personally.

Yeah, the thin crust options from any of those places are garbage.

Yeah, I'm not gonna say anything bad about Pizza Hut. It scratches a unique itch in the sphere of delivery, and there are not many places like that which carry a legit nostalgia pull with me (to NTP's point). Pan Pizza Supreme is something I'll never turn down.
