No point in wearing a pirate hat unless it is a 5950

They need to be .500ish through may. If they can do that and stay healthy it could get interesting.

I expected them to stink in 2023, be mid in 2024, compete in 2025.

They ended up being mid in 2023 but I still think they're a year away from competing.

If they can get these young pitchers up and be close enough to the wild card that games actually matter, I'll love the way it sets them up for 2025

What if I don't want to look like a Sumerian, Mesopotamian, or Hittite? Did we run this by Gozer? I don't want to escalate above your head or anything, but is this the official Demigod position, or just minion commentary? ;)

2023 was slightly below mid I think. And it was a roundabout way to mid. I think they are tracking for a backslide this year because 60% of the rotation is trash till June.

But even if they stink this year and dont sniff .500, they’re still a playoff team next year.

Peguero down to AAA. I don't see them taking Cruz out for Alika to be a defensive sub late in games so kinda surprised Peguero or NG didn't make the team.

Triolo won the 2B job is how I see that. Alika makes more sense as the backup infielder. Palacios and Gonzalez were also sent down.

I think McKinney might have won a job randomly

They probably want Piguero to get regular ABs and would rather Alika be the one to sit. So it makes sense to me, and yeah definitely means Triolo won the 2b job.

I like him being sent down.

There isn't room for McKinney right?

Right. I like him as depth. Let's you dfa csn or Palacios to bring up Jones or German later in the year

I think Joe gets most of his time at 1B.

So then Joe and Williams are the primary bench IF guys, and Olivares is the 4th OF. I think Grandal starts on the dl, so delay is the backup catcher. Bae is also hurt. So there’s still I guess one more bench guy?

Nope just 4. 9 hitters counting DH and 4 bench. So 13 pos. players and 13 pitchers. It's why Cutch played 2 innings the other day lol

I agree but he'll get some run out there too I think. A 5th OF

Pretty much exactly as expected, with MAT taking the spot where I had Palacios penciled in
