OMG, it's been announced that Akira Toriyama—the creator of Dragon Ball and the character designer for Chrono Trigger and every Dragon Quest / Dragon Warrior game—died of a hemorrhagic stroke on March 1 at age 68.

:(

Chrono Trigger is probably my favorite RPG of all time. Those Dragon Warrior games for NES were brutally difficult lol.

No love for Steve Lawrence? Died three days ago at the age of 88.

Guess I’m just too old.

I've seen them over the years and never had any interest. Bad Vegas act.

RIP auto designer Marcello Gandini, who worked for the Bertone design studio, at age 85. Gandini designed a wide variety of cars for companies including BMW, Alfa Romeo, Citroën, Fiat, Lancia, Maserati, Renault, and WV, but he will likely be remembered most for his work for Lamborghini, for which he designed the Miura, Urraco, Espada, and Countach.

The Miura is one of the prettiest/sexiest cars ever.

There was a Countach kit car in traffic the other day, and it was rather less so.

Well, he also designed the Iso Lele.

That sounds like a car that's only available on a Top Gear challenge.

After an image search, I actually don't dislike the way the Iso Lele looks at all, although it does remind one more than a little of a Ford Pinto, especially from the rear. I'd say the Lele looks better than the Espada, although I'd rather have the Lamborghini's V12 than the Lele's Cleveland V8. Although that Ford V8 would be waaaay less expensive to repair/maintain (and cheap and easy to modify for more power). Hmmm...

The Lele is like a hatchback version of a Mazda MX-500 breadvan.

Yeah, kinda. But remember I like hatchbacks. And I drove one of these for 10+ years:

Yeah. My Volt is a hatchback. Corvette's are hatchbacks. Very practical form factor.

My other car is a station wagon. I'm old.

also I disagree with the assertion that “corvettes are hatchbacks”. They might technically be but they don’t share the typical hatchback aesthetic at all
