Aww man that sucks. His kids are young teenagers at best. I thought he had looked kind of thin and frail over the last year or so but the dude was doing standup less than two weeks ago. Everyone that was at the Bob Saget Roast should be sleeping with one eye open at this point.

A buddy and I went out to lunch during work one year, and Gilbert was basically sitting in a booth at Chickie and Pete's doing standup while he and everyone ate. He roasted basically everyone he could see, and it was hilarious.

Back in the mid to late 80s as the Islanders dynasty was fading into oblivion, I had a high school job flipping burgers at Wendy’s where I worked with a girl who was a huge Islanders fan. This was in Lock Haven where hockey was something that was maybe available on tv one game on the weekend. Heard endlessly about Bossy, Trottier, et al. Sloughed hockey off for 5 more years till I got to see Mario live but those Isles were the first players I was really aware of. So Bossy was one of the first players I really recognized.
Now, well, hockey is still not huge there but with the right cable package you can get all the Penguins AND all the Flyers games, and of course PSU is D-1. Much respect to that girl whose name escapes me but was a hockey die hard in a town where hockey was a foreign concept.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who gave their thoughts/concerns/prayers over the passing of my mother this past week. I'm really just now catching my breath. I totally forgot Easter was this Sunday until earlier today.
Still have pick up her ashes from the cremation and figure out if I'm going to have them buried or let them hang out at our house for a while. She never really specified what she wanted other than cremated.
At least she will finally get to see our new house now after she couldn't get out here the last couple of years if only for a little bit.
