A certain college hockey team ya boy meow played for warmed up to Party Up for a short amount of time. The radio edit for that is absolutely hilarious.

Lee - 1864
DMX - Today

I can spot a difference.

Tongue in cheek, tongue in cheek.

...Moral relativism applies to neither case though.

See, this is what I'm talking about. For sure I thought you were going to go with "moral relativism need not be temporal." Always keeping me on my toes.

I could explain my whole deal, but it would come off even more arrogant than usual

Also, DMX was a serial dog abuser. Seriously, f**k that guy with all malice, and good riddance.

I just like his music, is all. I can’t defend anything else about him.

This is where I am at. None of the 90's rappers are good role models. But whenever this Gen-X'er hears "I got blood on my hands and there's no remorse...", he listens...

I couldn't name a DMX song for money (although I'm sure I would recognize some if named). I missed that era of popular music.

Same with 2Pac. He was favorite rapper growing up, and still is.

Bill Cosby was revered because of lies he projected about himself. This makes The Cosby show particularly icky to still watch.

Pretty sure DMX told everyone who he was. Seems normal to keep listening.

Actually the royalties now go to someone else. So go nuts.

I’m pretty flexible when it comes to appreciating art made by bad people. Polanski is still a great director, Spacey is still a great actor and Louis CK is still funny (I never really found Cosby funny so it’d be insincere to include him)

If Polanski made films for Disney Junior, I might have a take.

...but I’m waiting for MiMH to mention that K Pax is his favorite Kevin Spacey project.

I must be a little more old school because ICE-T is my man.

Best part of this is that his music got me yelled at the most in high school, and now my mom's all like, "Oh I just love that ICE-T you used to listed to in High School on that SVU show."

He is so bad on that show. Acting used to be good if not unspectacular on Law & Order shows but that SVU is just horrible.
