I don’t really know that much about Kissinger to have a strong opinion one way or another but I thought this was amusing
Chef and author Anthony Bourdain wrote the following about Kissinger in his 2001 book A Cook's Tour: "Once you've been to Cambodia, you'll never stop wanting to beat Henry Kissinger to death with your bare hands. You will never again be able to open a newspaper and read about that treacherous, prevaricating, murderous scumbag sitting down for a nice chat with Charlie Rose or attending some black-tie affair for a new glossy magazine without choking. Witness what Henry did in Cambodia—the fruits of his genius for statesmanship—and you will never understand why he's not sitting in the dock at The Hague next to Milošević. While Henry continues to nibble nori rolls and remaki at A-list parties, Cambodia, the neutral nation he secretly and illegally bombed, invaded, undermined, and then threw to the dogs, is still trying to raise itself up on its one remaining leg."[239][240]

Behind the Bastards podcast has a great breakdown of his war crimes.I don’t really know that much about Kissinger to have a strong opinion one way or another but I thought this was amusing

The amount of younger people that apparently know who Henry Kissinger is and loathe him is impressive...
Like, I know he sucked...but is he really that much more accomplished than any other war promoter/criminal from this or any other country...? Maybe this belongs in "no stupid questions"...

What I find incredible is how someone as reviled as him can win a peace prize and the Nobel org still hasn’t rescinded it or anything

Never really a surprise when a centenarian goes, but man...... one of the greatest showrunners* ever, and Archie remains perhaps the greatest character in American TV history.
* I think the vast bulk of his work predates the use of that term, but you know what I mean.

He was definitely one of those legends that seemed like he would live forever. Mel Brooks will be the real hammer blow for me, especially with how active he's been since the pandemic.Never really a surprise when a centenarian goes, but man...... one of the greatest showrunners* ever, and Archie remains perhaps the greatest character in American TV history.
