Played the first half like they thought 7 would be enough. Pathetic.
Narduzzi can’t leave fast enough.

Two unsportsmanlike penalties gives them horrible field position, and there's no reason to slide because once you get the first down game is over regardless of going out of bounds.

Looking forward to Narduzzi’s presser where he absolves himself of everything. He’s a master class at that.

So was this one of those "got hosed but never should have been that close" games? I'm familiar with those.

They didn't get hosed. The spot was right. There is a still shot showing the ball a yard short when he started his slide. And as stated, he didn't need to slide at all. All he had to do was pick up the first down and the game was over.

Yes I’m sure beating a 2-4 Pitt team makes up for that ass kicking in the acc championship

I dreamt I became a Penn State fan last night. I remember thinking in my dream why didn't I do this before. I watched a year of exciting football. This really happened in my dream. Then it turned into a Pitt vs Penn State game where Pitt was down 21-17 and I was rooting for Pitt and they were about to win I thought but I woke up.

As far as dumb dreams go. The night before that I dreamt I was playing a video baseball game. And was figuring out how long to hold the controller down to make the pitches right on the edge. It was an old NES controller. I pitched 4 or 5 pitches in the dream and slowly got better at hitting the edge of the strike zone.

Anyway. Time to watch Karlsson I guess.

Yeah how mad can you get. This game was like watching the Pirates lose to the Curve in an exhibition.

Lol yeah if Pitt wasn't 2-4 I'd care more. Probably cost us a shot at the armed forces bowl or some sht but a very meaningless game

Hmm. Both the slide spot and the game winning TD were excellent examples of on the field officiating getting the call right which was also confirmed by watching replays. Looks like top notch officiating to this unbiased outside observer.

Glad I missed this one live.

At this point, I'm not even sure how angry I would have been had I watched it live, because all this game did was reinforce even more for me the idea that Cignetti cannot be jettisoned from this program quickly enough.

1. Pitt had a QB throw 45 times for 300 yards, 2 TDs, and no INTs.
2. Pitt had a RB rush for 115 yards and more than 4.5 yards per carry.
3. Pitt had a 100-yard receiver and two others finish with more than 60 yards receiving.
4. Pitt was facing a bad defense and a team whose offense was starting its third-string QB.
5. Through basically 54 minutes, WF had the ball 10 times. Pitt's defense forced them into an INT, two turnovers on downs, and seven punts.

Yet after most of that, all Pitt had to show for it was TEN POINTS, and 7 of those they scored on the very first drive of the game. Pitt had the ball 10 times between the Kenny Johnson TD and the Bub Means TD, and all Cignetti's playcalling could manufacture in that time was three points.

That's almost impressive in terms of its absolute ineptitude.

I've watched parts of the game and this was the worst parts of Wannyball all over again. It's cliched to say it, but this was the old "coaching to not lose rather than coaching to win". After that first series, it looked like all he wanted the offense to do drive-to-drive was get just what was needed for the next first down. If he had 2nd and 6, he called something that he thought would just get them the seven yards. If he could have won this game 10-7, he would have been fine with it.

113th in the country in total offense. 112th in rushing, 91st in passing, 89th in 3rd down conversions, and 86th in scoring, and that was AFTER their best all-around offensive performance of the year. Unreal. Get this guy the hell out of here with this loser, "pi$$ing down your leg" coaching.

hmm good points. but watching the game it was refreshing to see the offense be so productive. it was amazing they didn't get more points but it was a good sign that points may be coming. i especially was impressed with the first td play call. they maxed protect with the rb and te and flooded the other zone perfectly with 3 wr and made WF look silly.

I know Pitt stinks and football rpi is useless

But pitt’s rpi is 2nd worst in P5 and 17th from the bottom for P5 overall
