I preferred Old French Whore from that same show. Can’t find a clip anywhere.Speaking of Garth, his SNL episode completely underrated. My favorite sketch.

With or without your “mustache”?When I have a decent tan, I have a peach colored shirt (is that orange?) that looks good.

No one would be able to play the host either other than Norm Macdonald. That's such like a Norm phrase, calling an old man grizzled, and coming up with those questions and answers.

It really sucks that you have to wait until Monday to even find out. Either way, good luck on the job search/interviews.
Thanks. The more I think about it the less upset I am. I really hate my current job, and the company is floundering. Getting out before they end up changing the severance package is a good thing.

This is pretty rough. I've been peaced out a couple times, both where roughly 50% of the company was laid off in one go, but there was no real warning either time. I can't imagine going to bed multiple nights in a row feeling like this was coming. It really sucks that you have to wait until Monday to even find out. Oddly enough, it's a good thing. I was able to clean out my desk and take home all my personal items. When you are laid off from the company you aren't allowed to go back to your desk. And you are escorted out by security like you are some kind of supervillain. This is pretty rough. When I got let go from PlayStation it had been building for several months (but it was unique to me, not a company-wide thing). So when I showed up at my regular 1:1 with my boss that had been for some completely mysterious reason rescheduled to a different day in a conference room I'd never been to before (.............) I had already packed up all my stuff and showed up with my computer, notebooks with confidential info and whatnot, my key card, my jacket, and had my car keys out, etc. It was just a thunderously mismanaged separation process, but I was ultimately thankful for it.
And yes, I was escorted not just out but to my car and the guy stayed eyes on me until I drove through the gate of the parking structure.

Poetic justice that War of Will won.
Improbable jumps in the starting gate, the 9 horse throws its rider, and then the horse that whined in the Kentucky Derby wins.
What will the Belmont do?

I had move everything from my freezer to my parents house, as ours is no longer cooling. I can hear the relay click once, but the compressor never turns on. I'm hoping that it's just the starter relay or capacitor, so I ordered one on Amazon for delivery tomorrow. I'll be out of town, and had to show my wife what she needed to do to replace it. We'll see how that goes.
On a related note, this is yet another reason I refuse to shop at mom and pop stores. Were any of them open yesterday afternoon where I could grab the relay and cap? Or even today? Nope. But Amazon was open, with guaranteed delivery Monday morning.

It wasn’t too bad. We have a large Igloo cooler, and I used all of the styrofoam fish coolers that I’ve kept over the years, along with some insulated coolers. Glad I was able to save everything, because I had quite a bit of expensive meat in there.

Ah yes, those styrofoam coolers come in handy.
All of the "local" stores out here (like True Value, for example) are closed on Sundays. Thankfully I only live about 10 minutes from both a WalMart and Home Depot.

If True Value, HD, Lowe’s, Ace, etc. sold this part, I’d have gone and bought it yesterday. But none of them do, which is just dumb.

You weenies realize an electrolytic cap is a polarized part and reversing the voltage on it makes it explode right?

I’m aware, just like I’m aware that that’s not the kind of capacitor used on refrigerator compressors.
