The Mitch picks were dreadful, but he was least throwing the ball around. Earlier in the season, he played like it was against the rules to throw into the middle 15 yards of the field.

Mitch isn't untalented. He's got a good arm, his accuracy is fine, he's mobile and athletic, and by all accounts he's a good leader. He just can't read a defense to save his life. Anything that isn't a first read is little more than a prayer.

I can certainly agree to your last point. I had the distinct privilege to watch the game from the north end zone yesterday and Mitch really can’t see the throw that exists in the middle of the field. Receivers had space against their coverage and the throw was never there. Really bad.

Mitch reads the receiver, and throws at receivers that he sees as open.

Good quarterbacks read the field, and throw to open windows where they know their receivers will be.

Mitch is not a good quarterback.
