I went for my first hour of golf instruction today. He blew my mind for the entire hour. Despite having a pretty decent grasp on a lot of golf fundamentals my execution was just entirely wrong in every way in terms of body mechanics. Pretty startling really.
Very much looking forward to more instruction.

I got lessons for the first time and the hard part is practicing while maintaining the improved form. There’s a bunch of things I’m trying to work on (I know that’s bad; should just focus on one at a time) and I’m concerned about reverting to some of my old habits like breaking my wrists too early or dipping my front shoulder down when I start the downswing

Right now I am a fully ignorant idiot so it is fairly easy for him. He gave me some basic mechanics I can work on by myself. I plan to take in a lesson every 2 weeks through the summer.

My favorite part was working on what he gave me between lessons. The nice thing is my club has a few simulators so I did a lot over the winter when I wasn't out playing. Gave me something to look forward to. Plus the trackman numbers gave me actual numbers/results to look at and judge myself on which helped.

Corsi's Indoor Golf is about 5 minutes from my house. Planning on going there through the winter. They also do club fitting which is handy because I am getting new irons in December.

Glad to know it is productive.

I thought it had closed down as well but it is still there. I have not been inside since I was about 14 years old.

Happy Birthday! Congrats on that birdie on 10.
So tried Grint, it wasn't too bad. Free is always nice.
Played the Greg Norman property here in town, built on an old stone quarry. Was even after 3 and still carded a 47. The back was arguably worse, even after 5 and scored 44. Lost balls sucked the life out of me.

Thanks, do you need peackock or whatever? Or is it going to be awesome like the master's stream?

looking at some of these early tee times. you could easily play "pirates reliever or us open participant" game with this crew

My guess is you need a Peacock account but it’s free as long as it doesn’t require premium

I like knowing my distances. Carts with the GPS are preferable, but The Grint and other apps give decent yardage using phone GPS. Since I'm already keeping score on there, might as well take advantage.
I've been using 18 Birdies. I love having distances and scoring on my Apple Watch. I'll have to give Grint a try though.
