Weirdly, I have three indoor golf places within a 10-minute drive. 1 is in a restaurant (used to have league there), 1 is in the casino, and the good one is Corsi's. Not sure if he hiked the rates at all but Corsi's used to be $35/hr.

Wearing shorts and blasting top 40 music. This is innovation.

Pebble getting blasted with a coastal storm tonight. I think Clark's 60 won it.

I threw a couple bones on Wyndham after they postponed today's round because tomorrow's weather looked even worse. Easiest bet ever

Did you get paid or refunded since you made the bet after the 3rd round?

That was my first thought but I didn't want to be a jag and ask.

Thanks OP.

So I'm the jag? =)

Hard Rock paid out on the bet I made on Clark last night. I know Circa put out a tweet saying that any bet made for the final round or on the winner following the 3rd round finishing would be refunded.

Saw some comments from golf influencer type accounts talking up the liv tour thing.

OP, those folks are just getting straight payouts from LIV right?

One post was like, the music is annoying and the team thing makes no sense. But otherwise, it’s awesome and I think if people watch, they’ll agree.

Rick Shiels is sponsored by LIV. That's why I unsubscribed from his podcast, he suddenly started having a disproportionate amount of time spent on LIV talk which is weird because he doesn't talk much about PGA Tour golf.

Shocking

https://awfulannouncing.com/golf/liv-ad ... -tour.html?
US lawmakers slammed the advisers for not cooperating with their inquiry, noting the firms have only provided a fraction of the documents demanded in a congressional subpoena.

“The PIF has been explicit that the disclosure of information relating to BCG’s work for PIF is a violation of Saudi law, which ‘imposes criminal penalties for disclosing or disseminating such information including imprisonment for a maximum of 20 years,’” Lesser said in his prepared testimony. “We risk criminal and financial penalties for the firm and for individuals working or living in Saudi Arabia.”

Senator Richard Blumenthal said the investigations panel on the committee has never conceded a claim of foreign sovereign immunity over commercial documents, warning that it sets a dangerous precedent that could inhibit lawmakers’ ability to do their job.

“It’s simply staggering to me that American companies are not only willing to accept this claim, allowing the Saudi government to determine what is permitted to provide this subcommittee — but also that they would use it to justify their refusal to comply with a duly issued congressional subpoena,” said Blumenthal, a Connecticut Democrat.

They got an extra 2 hours to wait it out since the frost showed up to delay things even further. Their hopes of being done with Sunday before the Super Bowl are dwindling further.

I like to think that the weather there is the gods way of expressing their sadness and anger that I'm not there for the first time in 12 years.

My spy on the ground out there said that they weren't checking tickets and just letting anybody in the gates. One of the camera guys I used to work with said that it might have been the worst Saturday he's seen there...and that's saying a lot because it's a total **** show. The rain likely didn't help things with the wet and muddy grounds.

If I am going to play Cedarbrook for the first time, Red or Gold?

Also, if anyone wants to round out our group I am playing on Thursday in the late morning, you're welcome to be our fourth. We're a senior and two high caps.
Gold is demonstrably tougher and also the better course. But both courses are fun. Ain’t nothing wrong with the red
Played at cedarbook yesterday. The front gold was closed, so the 18 was back red to back gold.

First time playing any red, that tee shot on 10 is absurd, but the range was closed so you could avoid the impossible fairway and go straight at it by staying left of the tree line. So that hole is an easy par 5, then 2 and 3 are easy. The green on 4 is absurd, ignorance was bliss there, I just smoked 4 iron with my second and drew in around the right mounds. One of those figure 8 greens where you are short sided basically everywhere. Settled for par, but all the playing partners had to hit at least two chips.

8 is easy, but I think the rest of that 9 is tough, mostly just tough greens to hit. And 7 is a tough tee shot.

For February though, course was very playable. Greens were great.

Shot a 38 and 37, 75.
