UNC won't leave without ncsu and duke. Also pretty sure no one can viably leave the acc for some time

Blow the whole thing up and go the English soccer route with leagues. It’d be awesome.

I used to manually do this in NCAA Football 12 or whatever it was where you could change conferences and bowl affiliations. Designated a "2nd tier" for every and would promote their designated bowl winner and demote the last place team from the 1st tier conference. It was awesome and I'm a loser.

I suppose the answer is TV in the six-state New England area (where college football's not really a thing) but why is BC still included in the high majors?

Same with Rutgers, vandy, Maryland, northwestern etc

But you know the answer. Except for vandy? Still random

I guess they'll go to the Mountain West or something. Seems an odd place for the Cal/Stanford game. Great schools, but not moneymakers.

I was thinking about something and then Missouri's head football coach said it too, so there must be some truth to it.

Lacrosse, gymnastics, fencing, most women's sports... These kids are probably flying commercially, they're not having meets or game that are entirely just weekends, they're not in any real position to go pro in their sport. What benefit do they get from any of this realignment? None. Nothing. They'd be better off going to a DII or DIII school on scholarship. Get their education paid for, and not have to go through the hectic travel schedule of a DI school like UCLA where they'll be making trips all through the midwest when they join the big 10.

A friend of mine’s kid starts at Pitt on a track scholarship this fall. We were talking about the ACC not having it too bad as far as olympic sports travel vs B1G or wow WVU in the Big XII now…. If they actually end up with Cal and Stanford that makes thing different. Even then I suppose it’s one west coast road trip. Imagine being Cal and Stanford and having ACC travel?

It's actually the perfect plan. When badminton's travel bill gets too high for them to be palatable, they can justify cutting the sport...thus, just keeping the revenue generators...
