Pavel Jr. Jr.: hey daddy I got this wicked stomach bug from daycare do you want some?

Me: I’m good kiddo, here drink this.

2am: notification from me to the toilet that I did indeed receive the gift.

I’ve been ROUGH today.

My wife and parents got hit hard after my son got it. I came away unscathed.

My son is going to day care on Monday for the first time since the pandemic started. He first went when he was 4 months and stopped when he was 5 1/2 months so needless to say it will be an adjustment.

A lot of emotions with this for sure. I've gotten so used during the work day to hearing him play with his toys, babbling, walking back the hallway to come see me in the office with a big smile on his face, etc.

It's the right thing to do by him because his mom and I both work busy full time jobs, and this will jump start his development and talking skills no doubt. And it will be that much easier to get stuff done during the day. But... Man I'm gonna miss that kid when I'm having a frustrating work day and just want to go out to the living room and play with him.

Got peed on this morning. Last night, after two days of no pooping, the cork popped off the bottle of **** champagne and was flowing like a championship was just won. An absolute diaper destroyer that extended itself to three more diapers when he began sneezing and forcing more out. My wife and MiL thought it was hilarious and abandoned me during the clean up efforts.

I made it 2+ years without getting peed or pooped on. My wife got hit once. I felt like that was kind of overblown.

Nice. Probably the worst of those incidents was having our daughter up on the changing table, and I made the rookie mistake of elevating her butt with nothing covering it. Our poor dog was a foot or more away from the table and got nailed in the face.

A couple weeks ago I got the trifecta. Took my little dude out of his bouncer to find that he pooped up his back and somehow his front, saturated through his clothes so much that it got all over my shirt.

After cleaning him with 72 wipes and getting more poop on my hands and the changing table, I went to grab the new diaper and as soon as I went to put it on he pissed all over both of us and the new pair of PJ's I had just laid out.

So I grabbed a washcloth and cleaned all that up and finally got him in a new diaper and pair of PJs and picked him up off the table... only for him to puke down his front and my side.

I spilled a little coolant on me while working on my race car the other day. Kind of the same thing, right?

I don’t know if I’ve ever had coolant on me, but if there were a decision between baby pee or gasoline to get on my hands, I choose baby pee a million times over.

I saw the gif of the spitting on r/watchpeopledieinside, and went to the comments to see the video.

I post it here to just let everyone know: you didn't raise this guy, so you're doing a good job.

it's on A&E. wouldn't this be staged unless otherwise proven?

like is it a judge judy show or are they just pulling stock footage? if it's the former, then i'd wager it's theater

It's all real... Bass Webb is googleable. Kind of an odd take that "It's on A&E so it's fake."

Lil Mac had his last session with OIT (oral immunotherapy) today. Which means he has no restrictions on eating dairy! He had a prior dairy allergy but thru this program has sort of gotten rid of it!

I think it's about time for my son's first urgent care trip. He wasn't sick for over a year, he started day care last Monday, and had a cold by Friday which now has a lovely seal cough and breathing. Pretty sure it's croup... The worst.

At least the steroids are generally good at knocking that sht out.

It's a tough road. Twice a month appointments for 6 months. He hates regular milk so we had to use nesquik. At first getting him to drink 5ml was tough. Now he has to drink 8oz every day. Is your nephew in the PGH area? Dr Dauby?
