Beats the whole thing coming off...

Before I got braces, I had to correct my bite, which required a herbst appliance. I'm sure they are different now, but mine basically covered all my back teeth and my mouth was mostly metal. The first week, the cement didn't hold and the top fell down. Had to go in that night in an "emergent" situation to get it reapplied.

baby Mac was discharged from EI speech therapy today and I had to fight back tears when the therapist left.

Lil mac went back to school on a walking boot today after cast removal yesterday. Except he didn't actually walk on it from 4pm until about 9:15 this morning when I suppose his teacher demanded he walk on it...i called her and said I dont know what else to do, I'm not trying to make him your problem but he won't walk on it. Dropoff line was a mess. But she called back at 10 and said he was getting along. I thanked her for her patience.

I feel like we spend $300 a week on groceries and they seem to be all gone in two days. Having three teenagers in the house is the equivalent to having a black hole in the house.

I watch my kid 2x a week and have since birth while I WFH

Full disclosure: he naps every day from pretty much 10-1. And there's a solid chance my MIL will come every Thursday and get him.

I think you could do it until about age 1 full time. After that IMO you'd never get anything done. I just texted my wife this morning to talk to the daycare owner about upping to 4-5 days. He's almost 2 in 3 weeks.

My son hung out in my office (this was in 2009, long before remote work was common) a couple of days a week without any issues. Once he got foot mobile at around a year, we lucked out into a daycare spot opening up.

He would just sit in his bouncy seat and sleep, ****, and coo. He was great. Now he's learning how to drive and shaving. Tempus Fugit etc.

I am baffled that some of you in the channel were able to do so, even with naps. He was his own full time job.

Same, I loved bringing my kids to work (and still do). Working in athletics helped because I could just go to the gym, pool or turf and have fun.

Oh yeah, my kids grew up in my library. They went to all kinds of sports camps affiliated with my former employer, attended tons of games and matches for free. Of course now I can't even get them to drive by campus

Yeah... that's why I only responded with "lol". I cannot fathom doing full time wfh and having a kid there. Even now with a 5 (soon to be 6) year old... I can't get much accomplished unless I just sit her in front of a screen for the day.

One of my best friends just had a baby two weeks ago...so I'll lean a little on that experience too...

I guess it depends on the job and the kid. I couldn’t do it, even with the most well behaved little kids, because I’m in so many calls all day that I rarely get my own breaks. I couldn’t fix a snack or a lunch or help with diapers/bathrooms when I often don’t get those for myself. with mini-meow, he was a crier and challenging baby. I couldn’t have done it. baby meow was polar opposite. I could 100% do my job at home and care for her.

I’m also a big “kids should go to daycare for social reasons” kind of guy
