Fyre Festival faire.
That account is interesting. It tweeted the other night that the Myrtle Beach Pelicans were unable to find a hotel for their team in Salem, VA, so some were sleeping in the opponent's locker room. The team (and others) called them out on it, saying they were bussing back home to Myrtle Beach. Evidently, they have an issue with veracity...

(WARNING) So scary to watch thisThursday's Triple-A game between the Norfolk Tides and Durham Bulls was called in the eighth inning after Bulls pitcher Tyler Zombro was hit in the head by a line drive.
Zombro, a 26-year-old reliever for the Tampa Bay Rays affiliate, appeared to be convulsing on the mound before being taken off the field on a stretcher as his teammates looked on.
In a statement after the game was called, the Rays said Zombro was transported to Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, where he was in stable condition and undergoing further treatment and observation.
The team said additional updates would be released when they become available.
The Tides led 12-4 when Zombro entered in the top of the eighth inning. Brett Cumberland, the first batter Zombro faced, lined a 1-2 fastball up the middle that struck Zombro in the face. The right-hander immediately fell to the ground, and his feet appeared to be shaking as an athletic trainer rushed to him.
The game was initially suspended with Norfolk leading 12-4, but was later considered to be completed early.

This is impressively stupid

It's been interesting. I've long been under the impression that hitters were okay with it because the pitchers were more accurate as they had a better grip. However in the past few years it's moved past a good grip to something that puts insane movement on the ball. If possible I'd like MLB to have one uniform substance they can use that doesn't inflate the spin rates but gives them a little help with the grip. I'm sure they've studied which stuff has which effects. Just throw it out there like the rosin bag

Trevor Bauer has been great at calling the league and other pitchers out on it. I think he started using it and posted his spin numbers for all to see.

Right? That was painful. You’d think Cole would’ve been ready to answer that question.
I would think the Yankees have the biggest PR department in the league, right? How wouldn't Cole be coached or advised?

why not immediately answer “no” to that question? You’re not under oath and you’re not going to be caught with a positive steroid test like Ryan Braun. The weird dancing around the question leads me to believe that he uses whatever the hell spider tack is every game
