See, it has nothing to do with labor disputes. Disney just hates you.

Really I think my travel agent hates me. They should have been all over that
Disney! Wheeee!
I'm 3 episodes in and this series is so good. I didn't realize that both Matt Gourley and his wife (and cohost) worked at DLR as characters and I DEFINITELY didn't know that Scott Aukerman did as well. This is a fun listen and some real behind the scenes looks at what it was like to be a character at Disneyland. There are tons of horror stories, obviously, but what I find charming is that despite the lows of the job (and apparently there were many) nearly every guest has a true love of the parks and would do it all over again if they could.

Werner Herzog was the guest on Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend recently. Matt Gourley and actual Werner Herzog sitting at a table together, and at one point the conversation turned to travel..................... If you know, you know.

Just got down here for a few days. Staying at pop century. Hollywood Studios tomorrow! I miss the magic express

Have a good one, dude!
This is a great time of year to be at the Parks. They've changed over from Halloween to 'non-denominational winter solstice celebration', but the crowds aren't out of control with sh**ty childrens off from school yet.

I like that Pop Century/Art of Animation area. Especially now with the skylifts. Gets you to Epcot and Hollywood Studies very easy as well as a few other resorts.
Like tif said, this is a good time of year right now. Weather should be ok, and you don't have the mass crowds yet.
Enjoy!!!

That picture looks like its from 1985 not 2005 lol.
Disney! Wheeee!
Yeah it's a physical picture so there's a chance it was either an early shitty digital camera or, even better, a disposable camera. Also 2005 was 18 years ago.

If that's not George Lucas, someone out there has the misfortune of looking just like him.
Disney! Wheeee!
It's him.

If that is him on the same day, he had a wardrobe change and grabbed a different watch. Also, Lucas' poofy hair part thing is on the other side of his head.
Disney! Wheeee!
I’m going to believe it’s him because that’s the better story.
Disney! Wheeee!
Are you asking if the actual George Lucas randomly being in your family's Disney World photo from 18 years ago is a better story than a just some old fat guy with a beard who just so happens to look like George Lucas being in your photo?
Disney! Wheeee!
One is not more or less meaningless than the other, at least not in this context. This isn't Tom Hanks pretending to mug with a 'passed out' fan, or crashing a wedding. Absent any interaction, this is just random fat dude on a park bench, and is not made any better by the possibility - or even likelihood - that it's George Lucas.
Disney! Wheeee!
That's a wild take.

Same shoes, and the hair parted on the wrong side could be a camera mirror image thing.
And, since I've already spent too much time on this already, it was a breezy 74 that day in Orlando. He could be wearing a sweater. Or dumped funnel cake on his first shirt. We've all been there.

Watch is on the left wrist, and all the text on the family's clothing is the right way 'round.Same shoes, and the hair parted on the wrong side could be a camera mirror image thing.
Maybe it's him. Maybe it isn't. I don't care enough to continue this.
