We just going to ignore the same atrocious play calling that plagued us all last season, too?
Doesn't really matter when Ben sucks like he does. They can try to mask it but he is done.

There is absolutely nothing worth the effort with Tua. He's a college phenom capable of taking a roster full of future NFL ballers to dominate another roster full of future car insurance salsemen, but as a leader of a team full of grown-ass millionaires he's hapless.
How does someone nowhere near an NFL lockerroom even know that?
Just watch him play. He doesn't have it.

the playcalling seems very consistent over the last two year. with two different OCs. Wonder why that could be?

The offense looked interesting at times during the preseason, then they reverted to old habits once s**t mattered.

If it’s Ben making those calls, and never utilizing the middle of the field, then yeah, that’s on him.

IMO that's why Ben is toast. This play-calling is horrendous, and requires someone to be mobile to survive. He's about two games away from missing 3-4 games due to getting smoked.
I saw a stat that showed Ben essentially throwing zero passes over the middle. At first I was like, why? It’s easier to throw the ball over the middle of your arm is weakened. And then I thought, well NFL coaches know this and are purposely forcing Ben to throw it outside because they know he can’t beat them there.

It sucks to say but the OCs are handcuffed by Ben. Giving him another year is just wasting the defense for another year.

I mean, it's pretty hard to have anything when you're running for your life behind a line worse than the Steelers.

The fact that he didn't even look at Muth really until the end of the game was writing on the wall for me. Ben isn't even looking for a blow-off valve doesn't make sense.

The run blocking stinks. The pass blocking isn’t that bad to me honestly. If Ben had any mobility whatsoever, the pass blocking would be average or better

Run blocking, they stink. But there are like 5 teams in the entire league that can run block.

Ben literally still has only 2 seconds to even find a receiver. It's hilarious how everyone knew the problem was the oline last year, and they did practically zero to improve it.

RB/TE provide protection....sure, but we just got over seeing how great the offense was with the "best O-line in the game" so them not prioritizing the oline is mind boggling.

They improved the o-line by cutting dead weight. But with the $ that was formerly used on that dead weight was invested into the defense. So here we are.

They are currently in that sweet spot and of being both “too old” and “too young”

All who are average or rookies. If you're gonna push for Ben to finish on a good note, I don't think this version of the oline was it. If this was it, why is Ben even here? Why not just tank?

Yeah the Steelers are too proud to tank which is asinine...sometimes you just need to be worse than average.

Oh I'm well aware, but I also feel they're not gonna get that lucky again and have lighting strike again and get Ben in his 15 spot or whatever again.

True or false.
The OC is different than last year
The O-line coach is different than last year
80% of the O-line is different than last year

It’s ok to say these folks aren’t good enough, but you can’t say they didn’t try

Oh. New page where this is bring discussed.

Well - the OC is different, but it was pretty well-understood that they wouldn't be changing the plays that much. I thought they even basically said that. Based on two games now. Looks more of the same.

Oline coach - I don't know how much they're going to change. Whoever the guy was that left for Denver was the line whisperer - but, I can't figure any major movements here with an oline coach.

80% oline is new - they're average or rookies. I think they're not good enough.

The announcers mentioned it during the game; discussed it for about 45 seconds. Meaningful reps, full speed is different, etc.

A franchise QB can be found in the late 1st, even 2nd round. I do believe the Steelers got very lucky with getting Ben at 11 in 2004. Their history of drafting QBs also isn't that great. Don't know what to say, just know they won't tank.

As far as the offense is concerned, Ben isn't too far behind Rodgers in the pissbaby rankings. It's his offense or gtfo

That Watt injury sucked, because it was the third one spread it out a bit.
