The guy is already in agonizing pain because he knows what's gonna happen
I was going to comment that the kinda chubby guy in the john candy hat and glasses is staring into the next 10+ years and seeing nothing but a vast sea of bad coaching and 6 win seasons.

Anyways, since I've been in the habit of digging up old threads...enjoy

I have no faith in Pitt to win this game. Everytime they have played in a meaningful game over the last 5 years they lose.

So where do the Pitt guys end up going? I think Jones and Weaver go today. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re both in the 2nd round. ESPN has Hamlin rated way ahead of Ford, which is alarming. I think Morrissey, Hamlin, and maybe Pinnock go tomorrow. Ford is UDFA.

If the Stillers could pick up Weaver in R3 I'd be happy. I'm not as sold on Jones

That said. I have no idea when these guys get picked. All I know is that all Super Panthers should have already been picked and are now sleepers

Weaver and Jones are both going to have good careers. I would expect them to play well enough to get a decent 2nd contract in the league.

They both intrigue me because despite their similar frames I think they’re both very different players. Jones (who NFL.com ridiculously has as a fifth rounder) is explosive and powerful and can physical dominate. Weaver (who the jabroni at NFL.com also ridiculously bad as a fifth rounder) is a little quicker and has excellent hand moves that free him from blockers to explode into the backfield.

I think it gets overlooked, by me included, that Jabaal Sheard had an 11 year career totaling 144 games and $42MM in earnings. I think these two are better.

I forgot Twyman existed. I think skipping the season will hurt and he’ll fall to round four or five.

Agreed. They were both better college players, and I think that is a pretty big compliment because Sheard is definitely one of the better players in the post Majors II era (what I would consider the modern era of Super Panther football).

As far as Twyman goes, in hindsight, opting out was the wrong choice, especially once the Big 10 and PAC 12 decided to play. But we do gotta remember that there was some talk of Twyman being a potential first round pick someday. 10 sacks from a DT is no joke. But there's too many good players and Twyman wasn't so good that his lack of work could be mitigated. Opting out didn't hurt Jamarr chase, but that guy could have spent the past five months posting pics of himself on instagram wearing a MAGA hat, smoking weed, and kicking puppies and still ended up a top 5 pick.

Really hope he didn’t spend all of that money fronted to him by Rosenhaus.

Pitt draftees include a walk-on, a three-star corner with two P5 offers, and a couple of two-star defensive ends. Narduzzi has issues as a coach and they are many, but that's pretty impressive when it comes to coaching and development. If he can get that to translate more on the offensive side of the ball, it would quiet the cynical part of the fan base that will justifiably look at this and wonder how a program with 6 NFL draftees wins just 8 games in 2019 and 6 in 2020.

It was a blast watching Jones, Weaver, Twyman, Pinnock, Hamlin, and Morrissey play for this program over the last few years. I hope this is a draft day trend that continues for Pitt each year, because ideally that should mean a few more wins each season.
