Pretty sure you were wrong last time this came up and you are just doubling down this time.
It’s funny. Your old IT gig…those are the people that always do it to me.

Watched a YouTube video, sat through the 2 ads so that I could avoid them for a few videos, and at the end of the second ad, it paused for 10 seconds on the ad with a little countdown on the left side before playing the video. Get **** with that ****.

And also fireworks.
Enhancer for YouTube extension has an option to block ads and even whitelist channels you support.

I've only really noticed this on the YouTube iOS app. :(

Youtube Premium might be my most underrated online subscription. Kills all those ads.

Yeah. It would be worth it for that alone, but I also use Youtube Music exclusively now and it also covers that.

I would rather pay $12 once a month than "pay" a few cents at a time with ad impressions. Other than channels selling stuff in their actual content it is a completely clean experience.

It definitely makes more sense if you use their music service, but not for me. Like I said, I only have this issue on mobile devices, so it's just something I have to deal with.

Six months ago I would have told you I will never subscribe, but I spend a lot of time on YouTube these days.

I have never told anyone "no" as many times in my life as I have told YouTube that I don't want YouTube Premium.

I just use an adblocker and my life is fine...I also don't have any specific smaller channels to support...

My issue with ad block is that it would block videos after opening one or two of them. Or maybe I was just doing wrong.

That doesn't happen to me ever...I think I use adblock plus or something as an extension of google chrome...I have a doctored up YouTube app on my tablet...I'd try something else if I were you and wanted my life to not suck...

When I ask a question, and somebody who doesn't know the answer provides a response to a totally different question. Why are you wasting both of our time?

People who give products low reviews because the delivery got hosed up even though "once I got it, it worked great."

This is maddening.

I can't decide what is worse, that or a five star review that just says "I am really excited to try this product! Sounds cool."

Seriously, stop breeding.

It depends on the customer service experience. If it is a "well that's a shipping problem, contact [courier']", then criticism is fair game. If it is more of a "it's not my fault, but you are my customer and so it is now my problem", then keep your bad review to yourself. That's the issue I had with Raycon last year when I bought Mrs Tif some earbuds. Parcel got hung up in that awful UPS Innovations nonsense and took a month to get here. But when I contacted Raycon they were like "lol", so I will never buy another Raycon product as long as I live. If they had said, "We'll send you out another set via an alternative delivery method, keep the originals when they ultimately do arrive," I'd be a devoted customer for life.

We watch a number of shows on YT, a few of which we support via subscription. And we also watch a lot of content on YT, so the Premium subscription is 100% worth it.... the channels we follow get their rev share, and we don't have to watch ads.

internet reviewing is inherently flawed because it's very one dimensional. Someone might leave a bad review for a restaurant if something with the reservation is screwy even though the food in the restaurant is 10/10 and well-priced.

with amazon, I'll admit I get pissy when I buy something that's allegedly prime and it takes a week plus for me to get it. I don't know that much about logistics and whether or not the seller is at fault, the delivery company is at fault or if Amazon is at fault (I would bet it's usually some combo of the 3 though)

there's also this

Always look for "Sold and shipped by Amazon".

Yup. I think I mentioned this earlier but I got a 3* rating "They were closed the day we stopped by"

We're only closed 1 day a week. But thank you for taking the time to give us a horrible rating.

That’s why I read the reviews instead of just the star ratings. It’s easy to figure out if the low star reviewers are legit or just being morons.

Reply to all emails when someone get a promotion. I don't need 10+ emails from your friends congratulating you.

My favorite is when HR or some other department sends an informational email to every one in the organization by way of group bcc and people reply all. To literally everyone possible.
