I remember thinking it was super weird that George Bush cared about my mile time.

The Presidential fitness thing wasn’t something you had to ask for money for, though, unless I’m remember wrong. Ours was similar, but also included the rope climb.
Yeah no money involved. Just got some fancy medal if you did good in X number of events and your name on a list or something I think.

The only thing I really remember from that is having my buddy hold my feet for the sit ups, and letting one rip in his face. It was so god damn funny, and that was the end of that event for us both.

At my high school, the seniors had to sell ads to get color headshots in the yearbook. I couldn't have cared less. Apparently many in my class felt the same way as we ended up in black and white.

They should have just charged more to have it in color. Dumb to fund raise over that.

My buddy and I shoveled driveways to get in my dad's fantasy baseball league when I was 11. That was his condition to me entering. Magazine sales were much less enticing

Yeah. Apparently our class was the first ever that didn't hit the sales level. They called us into the gym to express their disappointment with all of us. I was like, dude, I'm not even going to my own graduation. You really think I care about getting color pics in a yearbook I'm never going to look at?

Watching the Thursday night NFL game on Amazon Prime, and Sonic just ran an ad for the "Double Grilled Cheese Burger," which is two patties and cheese between slices of thick bread. Beef patties on buns are Burgers. Beef patties between slices of bread are Patty Melts, not burgers. It should be the Double Grilled Cheese Patty Melt.

I mean that as a compliment.

I would’ve guessed it was between two grilled cheese sandwiches based on that name. I am disappoint.

Our kids won’t know good they have it. We are “let me write you a stupid check” parents. I don’t have time to pimp candy bars and tie dye t shirts.
We are also dedicated check writers. Thing is, most of our our neighbors and all of our siblings have kids who are around our kids’ ages. So a lot of times they are all selling the same crap, and if they’re not, if you ask them to buy your kids crap, you have to buy theirs. We have arrived at a detente where we just don’t ask. Tell me what we owe.

That sounds good.

I used to get the patty melt with bacon at Waffle House.

A patty melt needs to have onions on it.

They reversed that new shorts policy real quick.

I hear you there. My new Samsung has made using Swype at least twice as difficult.

I wanted to bid on a DJI Osmo Action on eBay, and found a listing that looked good. The only issue is that the description did not mention any of the accessories that come in the box, including the battery, and the only photo I saw was of the camera itself. I asked the guy if it came with all accessories, but never heard back. It didn't sell. Maybe update your listing to include pertinent details?

When you schedule a technical meeting with a vendor, and they forward it to your manager. Why on earth would you do that?

My dog hates loud noises. Fireworks all summer long are bad enough, but now I have one white trash asshat down the road from me and one white trash asshat out the road from me who have been shooting in their rifles for the past week. When I want to shoot my pistol, I go to the target range. There are several in the area. It seems the decent thing to do, but few around here have any decency.

Not sure if it's DST or what but I had the most peculiar night of vivid, violent dreams that I can ever recall. Just completely out of character for me, too.

Ordered a golf club and headcover. Both were expected to be delivered today.
Headcover was delivered to my mailbox. It was the wrong one. Yay, have to return it.
I happened to be outside checking for the golf club. Got a notification "delivered to front door/porch." It was not, I know, because I was out there.
I did see what I assume was a USPS contractor drive-by in a sedan with a yellow stick-on roof light.

Most likely they delivered it to the wrong house, which is insane considering I just installed a brand new 911 compliant style house number last month. We live on a farm road, there are not that many addresses. Or, the dude felt like going home because it was 3:34 so he said it was delivered and plans to just do it tomorrow.

eBay won't refund a missing item if it was delivered to the same zip code where it was sent.

Source of the post eBay won't refund a missing item if it was delivered to the same zip code where it was sent.
This makes no sense, which explains why it's also eBay's policy.
