Whats wrong with a pdf
You know what really grinds my gears...
I'll probably regret asking that

I'd rather have them use a PDF than a poorly developed website that doesn't display correctly on a mobile device.

PDFs aren't reliably indexible by search engines. So if I do a Google for "Japanese curry near me" and a restaurant doesn't specifically say the phrase "Japanese curry" somewhere in the text of their website, but their menu is nothing but "this kind of Japanese curry, and this other kind of Japanese curry, and this other kind of spicy Japanese curry" none of those terms hit my search.
Also, f**k off by making me download a file to my device when I'm just trying to find a place to go eat. The QR code thing that grew out of the pandemic is different; I'm there already, I get the contactless notion you're trying to convey. But when I'm just browsing your offerings, go away with your mandatory download.
It's 2021. Get with the program.

Just a note: unless encrypted, PDFs are indexed if using Google as your search engine.

PDF menus render like **** on a phone. I constantly have to pinch/zoom in and out to see items or prices or different areas of the menu. It's awful.
I am shocked, in the year of our Lord 2021, at home many businesses have no web presence at all. Like I have to rely on glare-y 2011-era cell phone pictures of a menu. Or it's a placeholder site that's been under construction since the Clinton administration. Obviously, it's an issue in this backwater I've called home for 15 years, but even in Charlotte and Charleston.

I’ve spent exactly zero seconds of my life thinking about the format an online restaurant menu was in. Didn’t know it was a thing

Imagine jumping in a time machine and going back to 20,000 BC to watch people hunt/gather to live, then returning to 2021 to read this paragraph about the annoyance of pinching a digital menu.PDF menus render like **** on a phone. We went to the aquarium in Baltimore this morning.
It amazes me how many grown ass adults hold their stupid phones right up to the animals and take flash photos right in their face. At one point, a ten year old boy covered up his mom's phone and told her to stop, and she got all indignant.
If you take flash photos in an aquarium, you deserve anal fissures.

1) That's a really nice acquarium;
2) Flash photography in a building full of clear walls earns you a) terrible photos, and 2) a punch square to your forehead.

We’re going to the Baltimore Aquarium on Thursday en route to DC. I still prefer the old design compared to what you see today. Probably still in my top 5, though.

Haven't been there since 1996 but I remember it being absolutely amazing

What was the masking situation? We went to the aquarium in Baltimore this morning.

It is only mandatory for "unvaccinated", but I would estimate about 80% of families were masked at least. Ourselves included. Not on the little guy though. What was the masking situation? We went to the aquarium in Baltimore this morning.

And let's be real: you're never going to look at those pictures again, unless they have friends or family in them.

I think the same thing every time I see some mook taking pictures of fireworks or filming a professional sporting event on their phone.

I definitely go over old photos. Not all of them, but I enjoy looking back at my memories and stuff. It’s nice

Good god I thought I was in rural Siberia the quality of the roads was so poor

76 could be the nicest paved road on the planet, and I would still drive 30 minutes out of my way to avoid it.
95 is just perpetually under construction. They finished widening it in NE Philly a long time ago, and I **** you not, started replacing part of it again a few months later.

How exactly do you think this relationship works? What were your expectations going in?
